Currently living in Revelstoke. We are interested in a variety of outdoor work, particularly involving animals in remote farm locations and meeting new people from different walks of life.

Description

We are a Welsh couple in our late twenties who have recently moved to Canada on a two-year VISA. We have spent the winter season in Revelstoke B.C and are now looking forward to hiking, camping and hopefully "workaway-ing" our way through British Columbia. We both have professional backgrounds. However, since our time here we have worked in the hospitality/service industries. We are keen to continue in any form of work that is needed and would aspire to work in jobs which we would not otherwise get the opportunity to experience. We are both nature and animal lovers and cannot wait to get our hands dirty. For us, this is the ideal opportunity to explore Canada off the beaten-track and to meet and connect with people.

We are both active and outdoor loving individuals. We both grew up in rural areas, Caitlin by the coast and Dan in the countryside in Wales. This has given us both a significant amount of time doing work which has tended towards being outdoor in nature and has strongly influenced our spare time. We are both very hardworking individuals with varied careers.
With reference to specific skills, Caitlin has done a significant amount of travelling, which has included previous volunteer work in remote Thailand. Most recently, she has worked as a postal worker in the United Kingdom which involved early starts, six days per week for extensive hours in various weather conditions while carrying heavy weights.
Dan has experience of outdoor labouring work, typically involving heavy lifting. He also grew up on a smallholding with various animals and is confident and comfortable working with them.

What else ...

Caitlin is a keen traveller and loves to immerse herself in new cultures and experiences. She has independently travelled to Asia, Australasia and Europe. Back at home in the United Kingdom, Caitlin loves to spend time with her family, friends and (most importantly) her dogs. She plays football for a local side with a strong interest in various team sports. She enjoys keeping fit through running and hiking the Gower Peninsula on her doorstep.
Dan is taking a career break from his time as a lawyer. When he is out of work, he is an avid rugby player and will often walk into court on a Monday with a black-eye as a result. He too loves to socialise with his friends and family (and of course dogs) outside of work. He tries to keep fit by going to the gym and occasionally running behind Caitlin.
Together, we enjoy hiking and adventuring; we are both self-proclaimed foodies, we love to cook and will frequently argue as to who is the better of the two. We find joy together by spending time with our dogs, playing chess and relaxing by watching films and reading together.
