    Description

    Hey!
We are Geniia (27) , Alex (30) and we will have a small little baby in February.
We are living in an old house, which we are renovating step by step :)
We have a small garden, an outdoor sauna, a hot tub , a small workshop. it’s located in the north of Bavaria which is called the „Franconian Switzerland“. We are surrounded by beautiful nature. A rocky area (perfect for climbing) with a lot of forest, caves (I can give you some tours;)) small cold river (15 minutes). We are also just 15 minutes away from the most beautiful city of the world: Bamberg.
We are living very rural and simple. We are living the upcycling mentality and try to do everything with our own hands.
That means we are just heating with wood, are going for dumpster diving and second hand markets usw.

I am very interested in different cultures and different communities. We are trying to break out of the hamster wheel and find our own way in the system. Freedom has a high value to me. That’s why we are also travelling regularly through the world:) I am looking forward to listen to your story and to share experiences and thoughts:) let’s connect and create something together !

We welcome every guest with honesty and authenticity; we want an exchange from which both sides can truly benefit. Through Workaway, we’ve already made many friendships. Now that we’re expecting a child, it’s especially important to us that there is genuine interest, appreciation, and understanding for our project, for our home that we have created with so much heart, as well as for our way of living and the nature around us.
We share our food, our space, and our experience with you. You can take part in our life: we’ll show you our beautiful nature — caves, rocks, forests, rivers. Since I also work as an outdoor guide, I can take you on a professional caving tour or paddle with you along a wild river. And you’ll have the most beautiful city in the world very close by: Bamberg. It’s a vibrant student city where you can find everything you’re looking for. In general, our region has around 250 breweries — the highest brewery density in the world. So if you’re interested in beverage production, I can teach you a lot about the culture and history as a trained brewer and certified brewmaster, and of course include you in beer tastings.
If you’re interested, I’m also happy to share my experience in martial arts, which I’ve been practicing since I was 14. I’m always looking for open‑minded training partners (Kung Fu, Judo, BJJ, MMA). The same goes for calisthenics workouts.

We like to philosophize and to get inspired by different views to political and spiritual topics :)
I am interested in open minded people which are also interested to go in exchange.

We are looking for someone who can stay with us for at least 1.5 months. There are quite a few everyday tasks in our old house where an extra helping hand would be very welcome. The chickens need to be fed, the wood stoves need to be fired up from time to time, and the garden needs occasional watering. We would also appreciate your help in keeping things tidy and preparing daily meals.
In our old house, I’m constantly renovating and working on DIY projects. If you’re interested and have some practical skills, you’re very welcome to get involved.
We’re looking for someone who can take responsibility, think ahead, and has their heart in the right place.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

We have a very cozy room in the attic with space for 1-2 people. We are living all together in our old house and are sharing the kitchen and the bath room. Most of the time I try to go dumbsterdiving, that means most of the food is for free. About cooking routine we will talk with you and we will find some solution which fits everyone. We like to interact with our workaway guests and build up some relationship - we don't like just a "Functional partnership"

Bus stop is Right in front of the house if you want to go to the city.
Also we are from time to time going there so you of course can join.

We are all living together in one house that means we are sharing kitchen and bathroom.
