  • Description

    Hi there!

    We are Chris and Fiona.

We have spent the last 18 months devotedly bringing an old 1940's home and garden back to life, and are ready to now say goodbye to the lovely cottage we have made. We're selling our house and moving away from the 9-5 lifestyle, and want to go and experience some other parts of the country, offering up our skills, and learning new ones from others.

We love the great outdoors, people, and community. We are passionate about health and wellbeing, and believe that coming home to nature in all aspects of life supports this.

We are both very family orientated and enjoy adventures, crafts, and outside time with our nieces and nephews. We are also experienced house and pet sitters... and plant sitters!

    Chris:
I am a very keen hiker and camper - I walked over 1000 miles from Scotland to Cornwall in 2022, taking three months, with my tent on my back! I love the camping community, meeting new people, being part of a team, and a good bit of hard work. I filmed my experience and would love to make a short documentary about it.

    Fiona:
I've recently stepped away from 26 years as a hairdresser, 17 of which I've run my own salon, moving naturally from hairdressing into holistic coaching 5 years ago, being in service is in my nature. Alongside in my personal life I have been a lover of the outdoors and animals from day dot, I thoroughly enjoy and get a lot from being in nature and service.

  • More details about your skills

    Chris:
I am a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife and Practical Conservation. My varied career has involved being a Chef, being an Education Ranger, working in Admin, being a Wildlife Guide, working in Social Care, working in a Timber Yard, being self employed in basic joinery and building, and I have even been a housekeeper!

I am quite used to working with a selection of manual tools as well as power tools. I am physically fit with a good attitude to work. I've done a fair few personal projects in my time from home renovation to the garden.

I am good with people, I was a devoted carer for a family member and worked in Social Care for over 3 years. I naturally hold space for people well and am aiming to use my empowerment facilitator certification to run retreats with my partner, Fiona, in the future; running breathwork, movement, and fire walking experiences.

I'm good around the house: I enjoy cooking tasty and healthy meals, I clean to a high standard and take pride in my space, I love spending time being playful with the kids, and am quite handy when repairs are needed.

Overall, patience and pride in a good job done are my best qualities.

    Fiona:
I am a peoples person, which for me means I interact easily with new people.
I enjoy deep, explorative conversation on topics ranging from health and wellbeing, to spirituality and beyond.
Having overcome my own challenges, I have a wealth of knowledge that supports the improvement of a healthy mind, body and lifestyle.
I am a child at heart and enjoy creating imagination based games inside and out.
I am a solution provider as I look at things from a intuitive perspective.
Outside is my favourite space to be, which has allowed me to enjoy and develop the gardens I've had, from basic bed clearance, lawn maintenance, and growing vegetables from seed to fruit/ veg, caring for them as they grow.
My cooking and baking skills have developed over the years and I thoroughly enjoy sharing food.
I take great care in looking after a space as I believe our environment is one of the most important for our health and for what we want to create or experience.
I enjoy spending time with children as they are our greatest teachers, giving space for them to use their imagination and show us what really matters.
