Description
Hello! We are Eszter (21) and Tomi (24), a couple from Transylvania, Romania. We're really happy to meet you — you can find out more about us below.
We currently live in Cluj-Napoca, a colorful and multicultural city in the heart of Transylvania. We attend university here (Eszter studies law, while Tomi is in his final year majoring in theatre studies), though we were born and raised in different cities across Romania. Eszter grew up in Cluj-Napoca in a family of four, with a twin sister, while Tomi is from Brașov, where he was raised alongside his younger sister. We had similar upbringings: we both come from Hungarian families, attended Hungarian schools, and learned to love our traditions while respecting and living among the diverse cultures around us. Growing up, we rarely stayed indoors — we've always been active and involved in outdoor activities such as summer and winter sports, biking tours, ski trips, hikes, tree and rock climbing, and much more.
Our active, nature-filled childhoods helped shape us into open-minded, curious, and adventurous young adults. We enjoy being around deep thinkers with a good sense of humor, who love nature, quality music, thought-provoking movies, meaningful conversations about the world, and endless jokes and laughter.
We both have experience volunteering with various organizations, working with children, and contributing to festival-building projects. Tomi volunteers with the Social Fiber Association, working with children and teenagers from vulnerable groups. He supports activities at a children’s home in Cluj and participates in the association’s kids' camps twice a year. Eszter has also volunteered in many children’s camps, particularly scout camps, where she leads activities for children aged 6 to 12 in outdoor settings. These camps involve living in tents and teaching kids how to take care of themselves for a week. She also works with Bivouac Adventures, helping in adventure camps for kids and teenagers throughout the year. We are both volunteers at Mumush Festival in Adrianu Mare, Romania, where we help build the festival each year. Tomi is part of the electric team, which handles all the lighting, stage, and electrical work, and he also heads the Jam Stage — coordinating with artists and ensuring the stage runs smoothly. Eszter is a member of the decoration team, responsible for designing and decorating the entire festival space.
We volunteer for these causes because they challenge us, help us grow, and give us the chance to contribute to meaningful projects. These experiences demand a level of attention and engagement that we haven't found anywhere else — and that’s exactly what makes them so special to us.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us a little better. We’re always excited to connect with new people, share our passions, and continue learning through the experiences that shape us.
We hope our journey will cross paths with yours sometime soon!

In addition, we use English confidently and comfortably in both conversation and writing. More details about your skills
We both have experience in festival building, which includes constructing various structures from scratch, using different power tools, assembling tents, mowing large areas, raking, digging, and handling all kinds of land-related work. Tomi also has experience in electrical work and light design, which he gained not only through festival work but also from working as a lighting technician in a theater.
We both have a strong aesthetic sense. Eszter puts this to good use as a member of a festival decoration team, where she helps design and decorate the entire festival space, creating decorations from scratch — mainly using recycled materials. Tomi, as a soon-to-be director, applies this skill in imagining and arranging spaces and structures for performances and creative projects.
In addition to this, we both grew up close to our grandparents, helping them with gardening tasks such as planting, watering, harvesting fruits and vegetables, pruning branches, and assisting with general household chores.
We’re also confident in the kitchen. We've learned many recipes from our mothers and grandparents — while not quite MasterChef-level, our meals are hearty and delicious.

We also have experience working with children. We've both assisted in various kids’ camps and led numerous activities, including teaching new skills, guiding hikes, and helping children try out different sports.
We love animals and enjoy caring for them. Having spent time in rural environments, we also have a basic understanding of how to look after household animals.
All in all, we’re happy to help with nearly anything — whether it’s building, gardening, harvesting, decorating, caring for animals, cleaning, or cooking. We’re open, adaptable, and ready to lend a hand wherever it’s needed.Age

We stayed for two weeks, and even though it’s been a while since we left, we still often think back to the peace of the forest, the beautiful house, the shared meals, the meaningful work, and the conversations that stayed with us.
