Description
Hello! My name is Barbara. I divide my time between Budapest, Hungary and Calgary, Canada, and I’ve also had the joy of living in France for a few years.
By profession, I’m a geophysicist, though most of my career has been in IT. Beyond that, I’m a passionate cycling tour guide in Budapest.
In my free time, you’ll usually find me outdoors. My favorite activities are speleology and scrambling.
As a Workawayer, I’ve volunteered on animal farms in Portugal, Italy, and England; I have taught at a summer camp in Belgium, and I have helped restoring historic buildings in France and Estonia.
In 2024, I walked the Camino del Norte in Spain, and after reaching the end, I stayed on to volunteer at a pilgrim hostel—a truly meaningful experience.
For Summer 2025, I’m planning to volunteer in Quebec. I’d love to contribute, learn, and connect with people in this beautiful part of the world.Interests
