My name is Antoine Best, I'm 23 years old and I'm currently in Canada on a working vacation permit. I've been in Montreal since September 2023, and I'd like to go to the west coast of Canada from the beginning April to July or August, to meet new people and discover new places (especially to improve my English). What I love doing in my spare time, or whenever I have a bit of time, is cooking. I'm a very curious person, with a thirst for knowledge, but also always up for activities or even hiking.

I'm doing this road trip to improve my English, with a strong desire to return to France with a more suitable level compared to the one I had when I arrived here. I could also teach a little French, even if teaching has never been my forte, I could make an effort.

In France, I spent 2 years as a Restaurant Manager. I was in charge of managing a team of between 5 and 20 employees, which was a life-saving experience for me as it was my first major professional experience. I also worked on farms from the age of 16 to earn some pocket money, mainly castrating corn but sometimes weeding soya plants or other plants.

In Canada, I was a salesperson for a year in a store specializing in locally sourced leather (bags, jackets, accessories), and in the meantime I held down another job for a few months as a salesperson too, but in a high-end ready-to-wear store. Then I was a waiter for 10 months in a European-inspired brasserie.

I'm a very sociable person, I like the fact of creating new links but also of creating new experiences. I'm also a very open-minded person, keen to discover new things and get out of my comfort zone.
I'm quite dynamic, I don't necessarily like to procrastinate, although of course sometimes it feels good to do so.

I support the Olympique Lyonnais, it is a french team of soccer, I support them since I was kid.
I have played soccer for 15years.
I like cooking and I love discovering new foods, even new dishes, to enrich my culinary knowledge and I also particularly like wine.
And sometimes, I like to chill by watch a movies/ match
