Description
Right now we're looking for someone, who likes physical work, to come help us for a week to chop and stack wood. We have a wood cutter but some logs are a bit on the heavier side.
We're a lively, talkative and socially outgoing family with lots of activities. :-D
Our family consists of 2 adults, Kerstin & Tomas and 4 kids. We usually have lots of ongoing DIY projects and during spring and summer we also do vegetable gardening.
We're located in a beautiful log house in the wonderful countryside just outside of the town Järna, 40 min by car South of Stockholm. The walking trail "Sörmlandsleden" is very close to our house, and there are lots of lakes within car- or bikingdistance. Our house is 10 min from the freeway E4.Types of help and learning opportunities

We're a lively, talkative, active and socially outgoing family who likes to hang out with the kids and other adults. We like to do DIY/self sufficiency things but also to go on daytrips when we have time (it's quite busy right now with 3 small kids).
There's a lot to see near where we live, a lot of beautiful nature and lakes/the Baltic Sea if you have your own car or like to walk/bike. We have bikes to lend out. Järna is an antroposofic Mekka with Waldorf schools, architecture and gardening for ex.
There is quite a rich wildlife not too far away if you go by car, where you can get to see deer, moose and wild boar if you're lucky. Stockholm is of course also pretty close by.
We can help you find things to do while youre here depending on what you're interested in!
Also, you will get to know a little bit about how it is in a Swedish family. :-)Au Pair Help

Right now we're looking for someone, who likes physical work, to come help us for a week to chop and stack wood. We have a wood cutter but some logs are a bit on the heavier side.
If there is time and energy left over there are also some other small physical projects that we need help with like for example digging in the garden etc.
We really like to interact with our workaway'er as much as possible but the workaway'er also needs to be a bit self-going since we don't have so much time to interact right now because of work and 3 small children.Languages spoken
English: Fluent
Swedish: FluentAccommodation
We have a guest cabin for the workaway'er.
There is internet and we have movie channels in the cabin that the workaway'er can use in the free time.
We provide sheets, blankets and towel.
We provide food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, usually something with meat, chicken or fish, but if you want some special stuff for example candy, tea, cookies, fruit etc etc you need to provide that for yourself. For lunch we offer something lighter like youghurt or sandwhiches and for dinner we usually make cooked meals.
Usually we eat breakfast around 7:30-8, lunch around 12 noon - 1pm, dinner around 5-6pm.
Since we eat meat/fish/chicken at pretty much every meal we need the workaway'er to be able to eat the same as us.What else ...
In the time off you're free to travel around or do whatever you want. We don't have a car to loan out but we have bikes and we can give a ride to the nearest trainstation, that's 5km away in Järna. We try to give a ride at the same time as we're already going somewhere with the car to not have to make an extra trip unless it's necessary.
We live 40 min by car south of Stockholm or about 1h by commuter train.
We don't provide food on the days/half days you have time off so then you need to take care of your own food!
We provide food for meals but if you want to eat something special (like candy or some special fruit or dietary needs) you need to provide that for yourself.
We prefer if you take time off during the weekdays (Monday - Thursday) since we have more time to do things together on weekends.
We don't accept people being drunk or using drugs while staying with us.
We want non-smokers since we're a smoke-free home!
We also expect you to help with house tasks like cleaning, helping with dishes after every meal, cooking for everyone at times as well as cleaning up after yourself before you depart.
We hope you will have fun and enjoy your time with us!!A little more information

Stayed with us for 2 weeks. Worked hard and added to our projects with his own suggestions/skills/experience. Was easy going, helpful, selfmotivated, flowed great with our family and is a very nice, warm, humble and social person that was very easy to connect with.
