Description

Hello! Our names are Anna Kate & Rudi!

We are so excited to explore this beautiful world, meet new people, engage in new cultures & learn all about sustainable ways of living. We are first and foremost lovers of this earth that we have the pleasure of being a part of.

Anna Kate has a background in food systems and sustainability. She has experience working on vineyards, as a beekeeper (before learning she is allergic to bees the hard way :( ) & even working for a cricket flour company.
Rudi has a background in Architecture & sustainable design. He has experience working both in an office and field environment, designing, building & fixing everything from boats to schools.
Rudi & Anna Kate met at UC Berkeley, and immediately bonded over their shared passion for nature, exploration, yummy food, funky music & a love for life.

After graduating, we have been living and working in San Francisco. We are excited to switch from a corporate office environment, to a more hands on, slow paced lifestyle that aligns with the things that give us meaning and make us happy.

We cannot wait to meet you & learn from each other!

Anna Kate has a B.S. in Environmental Science & Food Systems, with a particular interest in regenerative farming & land management. Her last year of undergrad she wrote a thesis on integrating insects into mainstream food markets. She currently is digging deeper into yoga, mindful living & astrophysics.

Rudi has a B.A. in Architecture with a minor in City & Regional Planning. He is particularly passionate about regenerative architecture, with a focus on using natural materials and bringing joy to the built environment. Recently Rudi has expanded his interest in yoga, biodiesel production, permaculture & mindfulness.

In previous workaways we have been helped to clear invasive species, weeding and general gardening, wood cutting, chopping & stacking (including use of chainsaws), building decks & cooking!

We are both very tall, 6'-1" (1.85m) & 6'-2" (1.87m) respectively, fit & strong people! We have a healthy appetite, but can provide a lot of strength in return.

We are both interested in growing our knowledge of natural cycles, sustainable practices & mindfulness. We are happy to learn new skills; our favorite thing in life is to garner new experiences.

We both love yoga, backpacking, jamming out (whether it be dancing around the kitchen or playing music together), cooking and eating whatever you put in front of us, making art, nerding out to any cool fun facts you have, and getting to know other people and their cultures & beliefs.
