Description
Dear Host,
We are simple people. We like the simple, the natural and the honest. In the things we do, the words we speak, the people we choose to be around us.
Volunteering, mutual cooperation and cultural exchanges are very close to our hearts. This whole universe, life, human and more than human world exist not because we compete with each other, but because we cooperate, we help each other. This is how communities of stars, cells and humans were built.
Gerry and I are playful, joyful, fun to be around, hard working, with strong ethics. We respect people's boundaries just as we respect our own. We are curious, eager to learn and share what we learnt so far.
We are, at the end of the day, just like everyone else: not better, not worse, but are here to expand ourselves.
Dear Host, there would be plenty more things to share, but we stop here for now. If you are interested, we are always available.

More details about your skills
We speak several languages: Romanian (native), English (fluent), Spanish (advanced), Italian (native), French (intermediate), Polish (beginner). One volunteering opportunity that allowed me (Andreea) to teach English was through one EVS (European Voluntary Service) project in Poland.
Our professional background is in sales, marketing, training and managemnt. So we are able to design learning curricula, schedules, programs for people to follow in order to advance a skill. We also can manage advertising accounts, devise online marketing strategies.
But we would like our workaway opportunities to be different.
On top of our corporation experience, we both worked in care and hospitality and have some basic knowledge in gardening and maintenance. Gerry also worked in construction.
We would like to gain hands on experience in building naturally, for example. Or learning permaculture. We would like to avoid staying behind a laptop for too long. :) Hence, we are ready to get our hands dirty (can't wait) and learn new meaningful skills.
What else ...
Andreea: I volunteered in different NGOs and circumstances. I started with student organizations and then tried international volunteering projects as well.
When it comes to the skills that might prove useful in projects, I can mention advertising as this was main job for a number of years. But I am rather looking for projects that are not very screen-bound. 🙂
I can cook and bake (nothing advanced or fancy and not meat), but my capacities in the area developed along the years (Gerry can testify to that).
I can ferment vegetables, make fizzy drinks from fermented herbs/plants and even some fermented simple sauces.
I am a beginner in the study of herbalism. I can identify some plants and mushrooms which I use in the kitchen or to make tinctures, balms, body lotions.
I can teach English (both kids and seniors. I did it for 6 months in Poland during an European Voluntary Service project).
We both experienced the natural farm life through our first Workaway in Sardinia. We helped with the garden (pulling out the weeds, planting etc), animals (even milked goats), making natural cheese and goat bacon.
Gerry: Loves playing football (played for semi-peofessionals) and is very good at teaching kids football and building teams in any context. He taught me how to snorkel and swim (I was terrified of water).
He started his own construction company with his father in Italy. Here he developed building and maintenance skills which are extremely valuable for us.
He later started his international experience in Malta in hospitality.
He loves cooking and he is very good at making pasta, risotto, pizza, meat, stews, sauces etc.
He is currently doing scuba diving courses as he loves marine life.
