Hello! My name is Andi, I’m 36 years old and originally from Germany.

I work as a chemistry and biology teacher, and teaching children is truly my passion. I love helping young people understand the world around them, encouraging curiosity, and making learning fun and engaging. Seeing children discover something new or gain confidence in their abilities is something that brings me a lot of joy.

Beyond teaching, I really enjoy cooking and experimenting with new recipes from different cultures. Food is such a wonderful way to connect with people, and I’m always happy to cook together, share meals, and learn new dishes.

Traveling is another big passion of mine. I love exploring new places, meeting people from different backgrounds, and immersing myself in local cultures and everyday life. For me, Workaway is a beautiful opportunity to combine cultural exchange, meaningful help, and genuine connections.

I’m an open-minded, reliable, and positive person who enjoys working with people, especially children. I’m happy to help with educational activities, childcare, cooking, household tasks, or any project where I can contribute with enthusiasm and care.

I love cooking and preparing meals for others. I enjoy trying new recipes from different cultures and I am happy to cook for families or groups. Cooking together is also a great way to connect and share cultures.

I enjoy spending time outdoors and working in the garden. I’m happy to help with planting, watering, harvesting, and general garden care.

What else ...

In my free time, I enjoy many simple things that bring people together and make everyday life special. I like playing board games and also enjoy playing Nintendo Switch from time to time — especially fun games like Mario Kart. It’s always a great way to laugh together and have a relaxed evening.

I also enjoy watching movies, and going to the cinema is something I really like whenever I have the chance. Sharing a good film together is always a nice way to spend time with others.

One thing that fascinates me when traveling is visiting local markets. I love walking through them, smelling the different spices, discovering local foods, and sometimes even trying to bargain a little with the sellers. Markets are such a lively place where you can experience the culture of a country.

I’m also very curious about nature. I enjoy discovering animals and plants that we don’t have in Germany and simply spending time outdoors. Whether it’s walking, exploring, or just enjoying the environment, being in nature always makes me happy.

Overall, I’m a curious, open-minded person who enjoys learning new things, meeting new people, and sharing everyday moments with others. I look forward to becoming part of a host family, contributing where I can, and creating a warm and positive atmosphere together.
