Hello! We are Solomon and Andrea, a British–Venezuelan couple based in Spain, currently traveling through Southeast Asia for 6 months. We love connecting with new people, learning from different cultures, and contributing wherever we go.

We’re hard working and adaptable to a variety of tasks, anything from community projects, teaching , eco-living, creative work, etc. With backgrounds in Photography and Social Work, we’re excited to share what we know and to learn new skills along the way.

We’re looking forward to meeting kind hosts, sharing good conversations, and contributing positively to each place we visit.

More details about my language interests
I (Solomon) am British but was brought up in Spain, so languages have always been a massive part of my life, becoming bilingual and becoming a part of Spanish culture, one different to my own, has always made me super interested other languages and cultures that I could learn from. I have a TEFL and broad experience teaching English, public classrooms, private classes, and also some experience with visually impaired students. Andrea, although with no teaching experience, has almost perfect English and completely fluent Spanish, and she would have no problem in teaching either language. She, as me, felt a big culture shock moving from Venezuela to Spain when she was 17, which also broadend her mind to want to experience more life and people around the world.

I (Solomon) grew up in rural southern Spain, where my parents were Workaway hosts—so I was lucky to grow up surrounded by volunteers from all over the world! I often helped out with physical jobs around the house and developed a love for teamwork and hands-on work. Later, I moved to Madrid to study film and photography and have been working professionally in the sector for over two years. I also hold a TEFL certificate and have experience teaching English both privately and in schools.

Andrea grew up in Venezuela and moved to Madrid at 17. She has a degree in Social Work and has worked in various roles supporting and caring for the homeless. She speaks excellent English, loves connecting with people, and enjoys sharing languages and cultures wherever she goes.

Together, we both speak fluent Spanish and English, and we’re always happy to do language exchange, lend a hand, and learn new skills along the way.
