Soy Ana, profesora de secundaria de historia en Madrid. Me encanta leer, el arte, la música, viajar y conocer gente en los viajes, por eso creo que Workaway es una vía perfecta. Durante años hice Couchsurfing y conocí personas y lugares increíbles. Me gustan la naturaleza y en general trabajar con las manos (bricolaje,cerámica, costura, cocina). Me encanta aprender y espero hacerlo mucho en mis estancias de Workway. Actualmente, estoy estudiando francés y me encantaría hacer una estancia que me ayude con esto =)

I'm Ana, a high school teacher Who lives in Madrid. I love reading, art, music, traveling and meeting people when I travel, that's why I think Workaway is a perfect way for that. For many years I was in Couchsurfing and I met a lot of incredible people and places. I love nature and in general, I love doing things with my hands (DIY, ceramics, sewing, cooking). I love learning and I hope to so extensivelly on my stays with Workaway. Currently I am studying French and I'd love to stays with people that could help me with this.

Je suis Ana, professeure d’histoire à Madrid. J’aime lire, l’art, la musique, voyager et rencontrer des personnes de différents horizons. C’est pour cela que je pense que Workaway est parfait pour cette mission. J’ai participé à Couchsurfing pendant plusieurs années et j’ai rencontré beaucoup de personnes ainsi que découvert des endroits intéressants. J’espère vivre ici une expérience similaire.
J’aime la nature et, en général, faire des choses de mes mains (bricolage, céramique, couture, cuisine). J’aime apprendre et j’espère beaucoup apprendre grâce à mes expériences avec Workaway. Actuellement, j’étudie le français et j’espère trouver des personnes qui pourront m’aider à le pratiquer.

Soy profesora de Historia, geografía e Historia del arte, también de español e inglés, así que puedo ayudarte con esas cosas =)
En general, me gusta mucho cocinar y me dicen que lo hago bastante bien, tanto comida española como internacional. No soy vegetariana pero suelo cocinar bastante "vegetarian friendly" porque intento comer poca carne.
Me gusta la jardinera/horticultura, aunque mi conocimiento es limitado. Lo mismo con el bricolaje, desde pequeña en mi familia me enseñaron a reparar las cosas y hacer arreglos en casa, así que tengo bastante capacidad en esto aunque a un nivel no profesional, claro. Pero puedo pintar, hacer reparaciones y trabajos sencillos de madera, montaje de muebles, incluso podría ayudar en cosas básicas de fontanería y estoy abierta a probar cosas nuevas.
Desde hace unos 10 años hago cerámica, tanto a torno como a modelado, una de mis grandes aficiones. También se coser y hacer arreglos en ropa.
Me gustan los animales aunque son alérgica a los gatos (una pena porque me encantan), cuidarlos también sería una tarea que me gustaría hacer en estas experiencias.

I’m a teacher of History, Geography, and Art History, as well as Spanish and English, so I can help with those kinds of things =)

In general, I really enjoy cooking, and people say I’m quite good at it — both Spanish and international cuisine. I’m not vegetarian, but I often cook fairly “vegetarian-friendly” meals because I try to eat little meat.

I enjoy gardening/horticulture, although my knowledge is limited. The same goes for DIY/home improvement — since I was young, my family taught me how to fix things and do repairs around the house, so I’m quite capable in this area, although not at a professional level, of course. I can paint, do simple repairs and basic woodworking, assemble furniture, and I could even help with basic plumbing tasks. I’m also open to trying new things.

For about 10 years now, I have been doing ceramics, both wheel-throwing and hand-building — it is one of my great hobbies. I also know how to sew and make clothing alterations.

I like animals, although I’m allergic to cats (which is a shame because I love them). Taking care of animals would also be something I’d enjoy doing during these experiences.

En général, j’aime beaucoup cuisiner et on me dit que je le fais plutôt bien, aussi bien la cuisine espagnole qu’internationale. Je ne suis pas végétarienne, mais je cuisine souvent des plats assez « vegetarian friendly » parce que j’essaie de manger peu de viande.

J’aime le jardinage/l’horticulture, même si mes connaissances sont limitées. Il en va de même pour le bricolage : depuis toute petite, ma famille m’a appris à réparer les choses et à faire des travaux à la maison, donc je suis assez compétente dans ce domaine, bien sûr à un niveau non professionnel. Je peux peindre, faire des réparations et des travaux simples de menuiserie, monter des meubles, et je pourrais même aider pour des tâches de plomberie de base. Je suis également ouverte à essayer de nouvelles choses.

Depuis environ 10 ans, je fais de la céramique, aussi bien au tour qu’en modelage — c’est l’une de mes grandes passions. Je sais également coudre et faire des retouches de vêtements.
J’aime les animaux, même si je suis allergique aux chats (c’est dommage, car je les adore). M’occuper des animaux serait aussi une tâche que j’aimerais faire dans ce type d’expériences.

Quel plaisir d'avoir accueilli Ana chez nous. Nous avons découvert une belle personne très sympathique et compétente. Elle a pris à coeur le soin de nos animaux et s'est beaucoup investie dans notre jardin pour les arrosages et autres petits travaux. Catherine and Jean Michel went beyond my already high expectations and made mi first Workaway experience the best. They are sweet and funny and share with you their daily life, which is full of activities at home (taking care of the beautiful and big garden, the animals and eventually helping out on other house chores) and out (their wool … read more association, their friends organic farm, Friday 's apéro...) They are part of a beautiful community of nice people who help each other and maintain the knowledge and traditions of the area. They are patient and helped me immensely with my French, but beyond that what I enjoyed the most was how easily they made me feel as part of the family, and that has an incredible value. I was extremely confortable in my room and having my own part of the house, and also, having my own time and even a bike that Jean Michel fixed so I could go on rides by the nearby beautiful Double forest, which I highly recommend. I loved learning taking care of the animals (chickens, sheep, cats, ducks and peacocks, who during my stay had babies!) and the garden and vegetable garden, seeing everyday new tomatoes plumping or new flowers blooming was a gift.

Catherine et Jean Michel faisait ma première expérience Workaway la meilleure que j'ai pû avoir imaginer. Ils sont douces et amusants et partagent leur quotidien avec toi, ce qu'est vraiment complète, chez eux (aider avec des animaux et le grand jardin et rarement avec outres tâches ménagères) et dehors (à la filature, à la farme organique de ses amis, à l'apéro de vendredi...). Ils sont part de une belle communauté qui d'aide mutuellement et qui préserve de la traditions et savoirs de la région. Ils ont patienté avec mon français at m'ont aidé immensément à être plus confident. Ça que j'ai apprécié plus a été comment Ils m'ont faire sentir comme part de la famille. J'ai été très confortable dans ma chambre et ayant une partie de la maison, du temps pour moi et une vélo que Jean Michel ai fixé pour moi faire des précieuses promenades par la forêt de la Double. J'ai aimé d'apprendre comment nourrir et soigner des animaux (poules, chats, moutons, canards et paons, qui pendent mon séjour ont eu trois petits!) aussitôt arroser et aider au jardin et jardin potager, j'ai aimé voir chaque jour nouveaux tomates ou nouveaux fleurs.
