Description
I am 42 years old, live in England with my partner and our beautiful cat, Aurora. I am semi-retired and want to experience new things and different ways of living. I want to help people and contribute to the world in interesting new ways.
I am patient and easy-going, happy and fun-loving. I adapt well to whatever is going on around me and enjoy whatever situation I find myself in.
I love seeing beautiful places, hiking, meeting new people and learning new perspectives and skills. I am learning both Spanish and French, which is how I heard about Workaway. I have been impressed by the opportunities for new experiences available here!
I want to see more of the world and would love to learn new skills. Crafts are a particular interest and any building skill could be useful for me. I also would love to learn about growing fruit and vegetables. We have some woodland and I would like to learn how to take care of it and encourage wildlife to thrive.
I love camping on multi-day hikes, having done the length of Britain (1600km) in my 20s and most recently the Anglesey Coastal Path (200km ). I have a lot of stamina and enjoy a challenge. -

I am handy at a wide range of things, including gardening, cleaning, DIY, simple carpentry, painting and decorating. We live in a Victorian brick barn which we converted ourselves a few years ago. I also have degree in textile art and design, so I made a lot of the art in our home.
I am also competent with a computer and may be able to assist with different digital projects, depending on the complexity.
Both at work and in my personal life, I am renowned for finding solutions to problems. I am reliable and hardworking, as well as capable and competent. I am fit and strong, and happy to do physical labour. -
