Description
For five years, I ran a facility in Japan for children who were not attending school. Now that my two children have become independent, I've decided to take a sabbatical and travel the world, something I've always dreamed of. I heard that my 22-year-old son had a wonderful time with Workaway in Denmark and Canada, and I'm looking forward to talking to locals, sharing meals, and experiencing different cultures.
I love meeting new people and things and trying new things. Therefore, I plan to travel the world in 2027! I enjoy cooking, crafting, zentangle, and playing board games. I love animals especially dogs! -

For five years, I ran a place for children (6-18 years old) who were not attending school in Japan. I'm very interested in education. Before that, I taught English at a junior high school for three years. For about 10 years, I worked as a volunteer at group events such as town revitalization events, markets, and clothing exchanges. I live in an old house in the countryside, so I often do work around the house such as woodworking and flowers.

I have two children and now that they're grownup, I decided to travel as it is my turn to have an adventure. Japan is a small country, but it is a very unique country. I want you to know more about that culture and I want to absorb a lot of things from you too. While involved in education, I wanted children to learn about the importance of peace. I am from Hiroshima and am a third-generation atomic bomb survivor. Even after listening to the recent news, I can only pray that a peaceful world will come to our children. I don't have strong opinions about politics or ideology, and if you have original thoughts, I won't deny them. However, I would be happy if I could share the importance of everyday, casual life.
