Hello everyone!
I'm Aislinn, a 28-year-old living and working in Belgium. Originally from the Belgian coast, I still visit the seaside every month to enjoy the sea breeze and spend time with my family. Currently, I'm engaged in full-time work within the field of energy economics research.
Passionate about my work, I continuously seek new ways to transform and enhance the current energy landscape. Social values and climate awareness hold immense importance for me. I thoroughly enjoy engaging in discussions and listening to other curious and passionate individuals.
Here are a few things that I love spending my time on:
- Learning Italian (speaking) and Persian (basic reading).
- While I live alone, I often have guests over at my place at least once a week. I appreciate the company and prefer not to be alone for extended periods. I also love experimenting with cooking new dishes using fresh veggies. While I don't eat meat, I'm open to preparing it if my guests prefer it.
- I used to do paragliding, but these days, I find more joy in taking walks, swimming, and immersing myself in nature during weekends.
A brief overview of my experience:
I started babysitting after school when I was 14 years old. Later, at 16, I began working in youth summer camps for children aged 5-9 during summer holidays. I adore children that tend to be critical thinkers and still possess vibrant imaginations.
I have worked as a management trainee in an energy utilities company for two years.
Following that, I served as an economics advisor in the federal cabinet of Energy for two years.
Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D. at my home university, focusing on energy economics research (0-1 year completed).
I'm excited to embark on this workaway-adventure, connect with fascinating people, and immerse myself in a new culture. Looking forward to hearing from you!
