Hi there,
I'm Agata! My interest about different experiences and perspectives that exist around the world made me became a social and cultural anthropologist🌎.
I have always wanted to travel to another country, and finally in 2023 I flew to Norway! My 5 month stay (April-September) on a farm in Hvaler was enough to awaken my passion for sustainability, organic farming, animal care and self-sufficiency. Since then I have continued volunteering and working on different farms in the same country, developing several skills which I will mention you in the section bellow.
If I had to highlight something about me, I would tell you that I'm adventurous, open minded and curious by nature. I love to be constantly learning new things, as well as caring, listening and connecting with people.
My goal is to one day be part of a community farm, or have my own. Until then I keep exploring more places to continue learning and growing 👩🏽🌾! I consider myself a hard working, dedicated and polivalent worker. I don't mind getting my hands dirty, I can do physical work and I love challenges.
Thank you for reading me,

I have had various jobs before my life on the farm. Thus, I have worked as a babysitter, cleaned premises, and gained extensive experience in hospitality (from family restaurants to festivals). I have also collaborated in an indigenous film festival, and volunteered with organizations like the Red Cross. These experiences have made me a versatile, polivalent, polite, responsible, and proactive worker. I must say that I am particularly skilled at organizing, cleaning, and arranging spaces.
My first volunteering experience, on the island of Hvaler, allowed me to develop skills related to sustainable agriculture, basic carpentry, and animal care. I also learned to live in a community. For instance, I helped build a greenhouse from scratch, an outdoor kitchen, and a bathroom. Additionally, I assisted in preparing the field for planting various vegetables that would later be harvested. Every morning, I was responsible for feeding the chickens, turkeys, and ducks.
After that eye opening experience i have been volunteering and working in different places: from a steep mountain sheep farm to a big apple orchard in the Norwegian west coast, where i am currently employed. In those places i have extended my knowledge in animal husbandry, farm chores and maintenance, painting, mending fences and a lot of firewood making! I have worked in all weather conditions.Age

I would like to thank Ingvild and Martin for hosting me for a month on their small family farm, where I felt very welcome. Ingvild is a very kind, warm and generous woman, who is always attentive to help you feel at home. Every day I woke up in the "volunteer" house, which is next to the main house, and started working at 9am until 2pm. I… read more

I went without any experience in farmlife, but during my 6-month stay (April-September) I learned and enjoyed it like a child. Difficult to put into words!
