Description

November 2025-I'm back in Chile, currently residing in Puerto Varas. I would like to find a language buddy to help me to learn Spanish and in exchange I can teach English. I would also like to join a volleyball team to practise regularly.



I've just returned from my winter travels in South America, predominantly in Chilean Patagonia. I have cycled the whole of Careterra Austral, 1400km in December, one of the most incredible adventures of my life. Afterwards I was helping with few projects in Futaleufu, on my friend's land, with gardening, building a green house, getting timber ready for the winter, painting, cooking, making garlic preserves, doing photography and video, collecting elderflowers and making cordials, building outdoor wooden steps, creating a compost area, looking after a greenhouse, weeding the garden etc...meanwhile I had the opportunity to get to know the place, people and culture, going hiking, kayaking and swimming. Im currently learning Spanish so the language exchange is high on my list :) few weeks ago I have also added german on my list of languages to learn so I'm looking for a place where I can practice it. Right now Im back in Ireland, where I reside since 2010, working on a gardening project- clearing off few acres of well overgrown land with brambles and laurels, also getting flower beds ready for the season. Im an easy going individual, who loves nature to my core and to be connected to it is as important to me as to breathe the air or drink the water. Id love to learn new skills, especially to create things, build cabins, new recipes, use new tools and upcycle. Im happy to help with any tasks outdoors and indoors that are needed. I used to work in cafes as a chef and love to bake. In last 3 years Im switching my career from cheffing to nature documentaries and photography, so I can help with this kind of content; in 2024 in the spring Ive spent 3 months working on a classic steel boat restoration where I gained skills to operate many tools while working with steel, plywood, fibre glass, paint, sanding and varnish. Im super good at organisation, love to work with my hands, Im physically strong, tidy and respect other peoples spaces. Anything else just ask :)
