Hello there! We are Sandy and Katha, a couple of six years, and have created this profile to explore the world together. In 2024 we have both finished our respective uni degrees and decided we need a break away from all the theoretical mental stuff and connect a little more with the sides of ourselves that like to get their hands dirty :) Hence this account!
A little bit about us: We have volunteered/traveled in various countries before and therefore know how enriching such experiences can be. This time we want to specifically gain more experiences with ecological/ethical approaches to farming, gardening, and self-sufficiency, as it aligns with interests we have developed over the recent years. We're also really interested in fibre/textile arts (and the arts in general) and have tried our hands at sewing, crocheting, embroidery, as well as knitting. In terms of preferences, we're both fairly versatile people who enjoy a long hike with friends or a quiet evening with a good book, depending on the day.

As mentioned, we have just finished up our time at university, Katha with a Bachelor's in digital media and Sandy with a Master's in history and cultural heritage. We have also both worked several customer service jobs and are ready to step away for some time from academia and office jobs.
While we have no professional background in agriculture or building anything, we have helped our friends and family with their gardens or modified our own furniture. We certainly have a strong diy attitude and usually first try to solve a problem with abilities and resources we already have. This is the kind of enthusiasm we bring to new projects and we would love to get the opportunity to harness our existing skills or develop new ones e.g. woodworking, animal care, food preservation or anything else people would like to share with us! We're very creatively driven and after several years together have become quite a good team.
