    Description

We are a 13-acre farm that is slowly transitioning into organic. This is a family owned farm in a small picture-perfect village about 3 hours from the city of Chennai in south of India. We have a small farmhouse in the middle of the farm. Our goal is to build an edible food forest and set up an intergrated farm that is financially self-sustaining.

You get to stay in a remote village with lovely people. Its a wonderful way to experience rural life in the interior of Tamilnadu. It's a good way to savor the local cuisine and experience local village culture. Since the farm is located in a quiet place away from all the hustle and bustle of city life, its a good place to unplug and recharge.

We are in the process of constructing a second low-cost farmhouse and a chicken coop. Any prior experience in eco-building construction would be greatly helpful. We are also looking for folks with experience in farming and growing fruit trees.

You will be staying in a small little farmhouse. It's quite basic. You will be sleeping on the ground but will be provided with mats, pillows and blankets. The food is sourced from the local village restaurants. If my Mom is at the farm, then you can enjoy home cooked meals.

The evenings are a wonderful time at the farm. At nights, you can actually see the stars something we don't get to see in the cities. There are nice temples nearby. There's event a 8th century fort about half hour drive from the farm. You also have the beautiful city of Pondicherry which is about an hour's drive from the farm.
