    Description

We are a Costa Rican project which is located into the tropical rain forest of the Osa Peninsula at the south Pacific area in Costa Rica.
Our dream is to become a biodiversity research place where people can come and learn about our native species. We think you must know what you have in order to conserve it.
We are still working on this process and need help in many subjects.
My name is Rebeca, I am a biologist who came 15 years ago from the city to live in this forest.
My husband is Ananias, he had live all his life into this paradise. Our two children are Valeria 4 year old and Braulio 1 year old. Allan is working for us in this place, he lives there full time and takes care of our visitors.
The closest town is 4,5 km from the Station, you must cross rivers to get there and during the rainy season (August to November) it can get really complicated. We have electricity by solar panels and for the moment we offer 3 bungalows, dinning room, kitchen, shared bathrooms, garden and several trails into our 52 ha property where we have rivers, waterfalls and swimming holes.
We are located next to Corcovado National Park, the most biological intense place on earth according with National Geographic. So, we have lots of wildlife around.
We are now also looking for some help with our kids Valeria 5 years old and Braulio 2 year old, this will be exclusive for woman over 30 years old with experience on child care.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

If you like nature this will be the perfect place for you, during your free time you can hike around our beautiful forest and probably see many wildlife.
You will also have the chance to practice and improve your Spanish with local people.
This is a very far away area in Costa Rica, there are still very interesting cultural behaviors around local people, in general costarricans are very kind and friendly people.
We have also good food prepared with natural ingredients, many of those cultivated right here at our gardens.

    Help

This are the things we need right now:
    1. Make some new trails and repair some old ones
    2. Species inventory (plants, frogs, snakes, spiders and insects if possible). For this we definitely need people with experience or with good contacts to make the correct identification of the species. You must also have a good camera to take good quality photos.
    3. Customer service is the most important help we will need

We will need help with cooking, cleaning and basic things you must do in the place where you live.

If we have not clients at our bungalows you will stay in one of those, if we have clients you can stay on a tent.
Everything is very simple but very clean. We are into the tropical forest, so you must expect to see insects, poisonous snakes, bats and many different creatures.
