  We are a UK/Kenyan family in Diani Beach, Kenya, planning to start a play based Learning Pod for our 2 year old and several other local families. We are looking for a teacher to facilitate our play pod for 2-3 months, starting mid April 2024.

  Living in our home you will get the chance for a Swahili cultural exchange. At home we speak in both English and Swahili, cook foods from around the world and live in a multicultural community. Diani Beach has been voted one of the best beaches in Africa and it is only a 15minute walk from where we live.

  Help

  We are looking for a teacher to facilitate our Learning Pod 4 mornings per week, 8:30am - 1:30pm with planning done outside of those hours
  During the exchange Workawayers will be offered breakfast and lunch on the 4 school days each week. On the other days we are open to sharing meals and cooking depending on how the volunteer feels and what plans we have as a family.

  Accommodation

  You would stay in our family home. You would have a private room and have use of a shared toilet/shower. Breakfast & Lunch will be provided on school days, and on other days we are open to sharing meals, cooking together, depending on how the volunteer feels and what plans we have as a family.

  If you also want to work online during your time with us we can arrange something to give you a comfortable set up to be able to do this. We have strong wifi, however it does sometimes have issues and power cuts can occur.
