Description
I have a small early 19th century Irish farmstead on approx 50 organic acres of grassland which is completely private and in a totally peaceful rural location teeming with birds and wildlife. I have 3 dogs and some horses. It is a very special old place, albeit one that is currently in need of a lot of tlc to return it and it's garden and farmland to its original state. Currently I am focused on restoring the 200 year old farmhouse so anyone with skills in this dept are welcome, especially electrical/carpentry/decorating. Also the garden and fruit garden needs a lot of work so anyone with skills in tree surgery/gardening are welcome. I also have 2 old barns which need re-roofing and converting into accommodation and other old sheds which need roofing so anyone with those skills please get in touch. Also someone with advanced website design/building skills would be great. The water system (gravity fed) also needs work, I go to various towns regularly so although it's rural there are lots of things close by. As it's quite a rural location, it's better suited to travellers who are confident and happy in that environment. I don't provide meals but you are most welcome to make yourself at home and cook whatever food is in the house. I have internet access and other normal facilities. We are located approximately 1km from local village pub. 10 min drive from the main motorway, and 15 min from a train station and local bus routes. The towns of Kilkenny, cashel, portlaoise and Thurles are all approx 15 miles away.
