  Hello
  We are a Agnes (French) and Martin (English) and we are looking for help with our small, 5 acres farm in green and beautiful rural Normandy. Mont St Michel and the lovely coast and beaches of the bay are within easy reach, as is the small market town of Avranches. Several good hiking paths are nearby. The farm nestles under a long low hill and has a view of fields and farms. There is peace and quiet and plenty of room to breathe.
  
  We share our farm with 3 horses; Horus, Sable and Sucrè, Dock a very gentle friendly old dog and Mimi a adorable friendly cat. The horses are not for riding, they are great mediators Agnes is an intervenant in mediation with animal (equine therapy and ethology) , they are friendly and enjoy company of people. we have also a small private ecocamping
  
  We are in the process of restoring the old farm house and barn and need help with the building work – construction, repairing, painting, etc. We have already made three ponds and have plans to build a hay shed, a sauna and a meditation hut. And we need to get started on our vegetable garden. Skills in any of these areas would be welcome. Or perhaps you have a project of your own you would like to discuss with us.
  
  We have been vegetarians for 30 years and have a healthy and nutritious diet. But, of course, you are welcome to eat as you choose,however as you will be eating with us we wanted to make that clear. If you are coming from England a jar of peanut butter is a welcome treat!
  Although the vegetables aren't our own at present, there is a wealth of fruit and nuts to pick and eat throughout the seasons: apples, cherries, plums, pears, peaches, hazel and walnuts, even mushrooms. Competition from the birds is always fierce! Accommodation is in one caravan well equiped and we have plenty of land for camping with an outside dry toilet and an an utility room (shower, sink etc...) washing machine is available for your use.
  
  We try to be as green as possible and to use, when possible, recycling materials.
  The farm is 5 kilometres from the nearest town of Brecey, 2 kms from a small shop with fresh bread and provisions, it is also a post office and restaurant/bar. There is no direct bus or train access but we would be happy to collect you and drop you off at the nearest rail station or bus stop. You are also welcome to use our bicycles.

  Bonjour, nous sommes franco-Anglais, Agnes et Martin, résidant près de Brecey, en Normandie (France), dans une région très calme et très verdoyante à 40 minutes du Mont st Michel, 15 minutes d'Averanche, 10 minutes du chemin G22 (Paris—Mt St Michel ) et 30 minutes de la côte Normande.
  
  Notre ferme s’étend sur 2 hectares avec 3 étangs, 3 chevaux; Horus,Sable et Sucré, un chien Freepouille berger allemand tres sociable, et une chatte Mimi adorable et sociable.
  Nous accueillons des personne pour nous aider dans les diverses activités que nécessite l’entretien de notre ferme : soins aux chevaux, jardinage, rénovation de bâtiments (construction, peinture) et réparation de hangars, granges etc.
  
  Les chevaux ne sont pas destinés a être montés bien qu’ils soient très doux et proches des humains. Ce sont des animaux que nous avons recueillis dans des refuges . Nous les entraînons pour des séances de Zoothérapie ou séance accompagnée de la médiation animale et de l'ethologie.. nous avons aussi un petit ecocamping privé.
  
  Nous ne manquons pas de projets: aménagement d’un abri pour le foin, jardin potager, sauna, construction d’une “cabane”pour la méditation.
  Nous sommes végétariens, vous pourrez, vous manger comme il vous plait, mais comme nous partagerons les repas, il me semble important de le préciser.
  Il y a à votre disposition une caravane bien equipee et un terrain pour le camping. Une toilette sèche à l'extérieur, une sale d'utilitè:douche chaude, evier, lavabo. vous pourrez utiliser notre lave-linge.
  
  Nous nous efforçons d’être aussi écologiques que possible en utilisant des matières recyclées et en mangeant des produits non traités ; nous cherchons aussi à cultiver nos propres légumes.
  Selon la saison à laquelle vous arriverez, vous aurez le plaisir de cueillir : pommes, cerises, prunes, poires, noix et noisettes même des champignons. Nos arbres fruitiers sont très généreux. Pour ce qui est toutefois des cerises qui sont parmi les fruits favoris des oiseaux et bien que nous ayons 4 grands arbres, la concurrence sera féroce et jusqu'à présent, les oiseaux se sont révélés plutôt plus ingénieux que nous...
  
  Nous sommes à 5 kilomètres de Brecey où vous trouverez d’assez nombreux commerces et à 2 kms d'une épicerie qui est en même temps bureau de poste, restaurant et bar.
  
  Venez profitez du calme et de la beauté de la campagne Normande ; ici vous aurez beaucoup d’espace pour respirer.

  Nous sommes ruraux ici, nous avons une épicerie/bar/restaurant à 2 kms a Cuves et a Reffuveilles.
  -Une plus grande ville Brecey, est à 5 kms avec tout ce dont on a besoin, y compris un bar à pizza, un marché hebdomadaire, un supermarché, des bars, des boulangeries, etc.
  -Un Restaurant gastronomique à 5 minutes: Le moulin de Jean a Cuves.
  -Une petite forêt à explorer.
  -Promenade historique du GR22.
  -A 40 kilomètres du célèbre Mont Saint Michel.
  -A 30 minutes des plages de sable: Sur la D911 :Bec D'Andaine, Genêt(magic labyrinthe fait de coquille Saint Jacques), Dragey-Ronthon /Coco plage (pizza and live music) et Carolles . La D911 est trés jolie a prendre en suivant la côte avec des belles vues sur le Mont saint Michel en passant par Saint Leonard.
  -Plusieurs grandes villes historiques avec marchés hebdomadaires à 20 kilomètres, à 15-20 minutes: Avranches (chateau, musé, jardin des plantes avec vue du Mont Saint Michel), Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët(grand marché), Mortain (cascades), Villedieu-les-poêles (musé du cuivre et de la dentelle, jolie ville avec un bon marché ).
  -Dans une heure de route Granville, Fougères, Bayeux sont des grandes villes historiques.
  -Pour les amoureux de la promenade , le lac de Gast et le lac de la Dathée sont à seulement 30 minutes en voiture par les routes de campagne.

  -Vous pouvez aussi avoir au camping des séances de bien-être, éthologie et thérapie avec les chevaux. Relaxation/méditation avec Agnes.

  -We are 30 kms from the famous Mont Saint Michel.
  -30 minutes from the sandy beaches: On the D911: Bec D'Andaine, Genêt (magic labyrinth made of scallops), Dragey-Ronthon / Coco plage (pizza and live music) and Carolles. The D911 is very pretty to take following the coast with beautiful views of Mont Saint Michel passing through Saint Leonard.
  -Several large historic towns with weekly markets 20 kms away, 15-20 minutes away: Avranches (castle, museum, botanical garden with a view of Mont Saint Michel), Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët (large market), Mortain (waterfalls) , Villedieu-les-poêles (museum of copper and lace, pretty town with a good market).
  -Within an hour's drive Granville, Fougères, Bayeux are major historic towns.
  -For the walk lovers, the forest Saint-Saver, the Lac de Gast and the Lac de la Dathée are only 30 minutes country drive away.
  -And many other things ...
  You can also have bien-etre session, ethology and therapy sessions with the horses at the campsite. Relaxation / meditation with Agnes.
