    Description

We are Ruaraidh (or Ror) and Adelaide, and our two boys Dougie (3.5y) and Kit (1y). We have a border terrier called Jasper also.

We leave about 30minutes drive from Edinburgh in the countryside in a house that we have recently renovated. It's a beautiful place that's quiet, but not far away from Edinburgh, which is a really amazing city. Our house is warm and modern, and your bedroom is quiet and large, set apart from the family on the ground floor, just next to the back door with it's own bathroom.

We enjoy being outside, we love food and wine, we love cooking and entertaining.

We're looking for help and energy! Help playing with the boys, folding laundry, a bit of tidying up, maybe some cooking. Just an extra pair of hands every now and then. In return, we're very relaxed and flexible. We don't necessarily have strict hours we'd like help, but roughly 25-30 hours a week. Depending on driving linceses and insruance you can have use of a car. We can help you explore Scotland as well if you like. Ror is a chef and a builder, Adelaide is a florist.

We can teach you how to cook, as Ror is a chef, and we can teach you about whisky and wine.

Adelaide is a florsit and a gardener, so can teach you how the garden works.

We both speak English and Ror speaks a little French, so we're happy to help improve language.

Above anything, our boys are great fun, and our house is lovely, we hope you'll have a great time with us.

  • Help

    Help

We're looking primarily for a bit of help with the children and in the house. This is our first time looking for an au pair so we don't know exaclty!

A couple of dinners for the children each week, maybe some cooking, some laundry and some time playing with them and keeping them away from the TV, as well as the occasional nursery drop off/collection.

Both children go to nursery on Mondays, Tuesdays Thursdays and Friday, so perhaps some nursery drop-offs (if you can drive, but if not, this is no problem).

We both work from home, so one (or both of us) will usually be there as well to help.

    Accommodation

You'll stay in a large double bedroom, with a king size bed, views over the garden and you're own ensuite.

You'll be staying in our house, which is newly rennovated, and spacious. We will all be sleeping upstairs, you will sleep downstairs, so you shouldn't be distrubed if the boys wake in the night.

We usually feed the boys around 6pm and then put them to bed, but sometimes we eat all together. We usually cook ourselves, but would love some help every now and then. You're welcome to eat with us, or with the boys if you prefer.
