Description
Seeking a Workaway from approx April 2 until May/June.
*****Over 25 (for purposes of car insurance)****
*****Full clean drivers licence*****
Driving essential for this role as the primary task is driving kids (and sometimes dad) to and from school and activities
We are a multicultural family who have made the great city of Cork home, having lived in New York City for many years (Mum is Irish and Dad is Caribbean American). Cork is a small but accessible and friendly university city with so much Irish beauty right on the doorstep. We live right at the edge of the city, surrounded by beautiful Irish countryside. We are just 15 minutes from Cork Airport and 20 minutes from Blarney Castle-- where you can kiss the stone! There are lots of things to do in Cork itself and you can also explore some beautiful places which are closely like Kinsale and Clonakilty. Our sons are 7 and 12 so they are not super high maintenance usually! We are all social and friendly and we love to meet new people and share our experiences. We have hosted Workawayers before and had a great experience.Types of help and learning opportunities

We live a short bus ride from Cork City where there is always so much going on. It is a university city and quite international so there is always a buzz. We'd like you to immerse yourself in family life in a multicultural setting.

Help
We'd like you to help out a little with driving our sons (ages 12 and 7) and the dad to and from school and some local activities-- being able to drive is essential. We want you to be like a member of the family!
Otherwise, you are free to explore Cork. We have the best of both worlds in that we live close to the city but at the edge of the beautiful Irish countryside. We live on a 24 hour bus route. The nearest urban area is about 8/10 minutes by bus and the city centre is 30 mins approx by bus. Having a full clean driving licence is a must for us.Languages

We have a cute cosy spare room tucked away on the 3rd floor of our home. You will have a single bed with a locker and lamp and chair and access to a private full bathroom right next door to your room. The space is away from the rest of the house so it's fairly private almost all the time.
What else ...
We want to welcome who has common sense about how to live with others. We are pretty easy going and fun loving. Our sons are pretty active and busy so the house is always a buzz. We try to instill a love of travel and meeting new people in them so they are pretty worldly and curious. This is a busy home.
