    Hey Workawayers!

    I am Shailendra , i have been working in the Travel and Hospitality Industry for over two decades and got an opportunity to work with some of the biggest names in the game! working in the Corporate sector i always craved the simple pleasures of the Village life and discovered my true calling and returned to my roots ,to my ancestral estate in UP, being the second generation member of the local Royal Family of the region me and my wife Puja along with our team are now working on developing a perfect model of rural Farm stay run primarily by women .Spread over 100-acre of farm land, a natural haven and a great place to discover the slow rural lifestyle and get an opportunity to see and experience real India first hand!

    Meet Puja
    she imbibes the true spirit of a Modern Indian Woman, from being a doting mother to a strict administrator she glides into varied complicated roles of life with ease. With a master’s Certification in NLP, she is a certified Life Coach and a master practitioner and is easily the ‘Gyan’ guru of the Team, and great influence on the local woman folk of the village whom she is involved with at various levels through self-help groups and other initiative aimed at socio economic upliftment of the region

    This is Aashish - The Man behind the scene! who you will be working with mostly. He has passion of working with nature ,art and craft .

    Nikasha -
    the youngest member of the team, nevertheless a through professional with a penchant for creativity and innovative ideas. Passionate about the intersection of travel and culture as well as exploring other avenues of expression like public speaking and content creation, she has worked with cross section of the industry helping businesses grow through the power and relevance of Social Media .
    Nikasha spearheads our efforts of bringing the stories and experiences of Rural Indian alive on social media!

    And the backbone of our Project ,Radhika , Janki and Dulari. They are our paid staffs from the local community who helps us with Housekeeping and Guest Services ,cooking .
    Coming from humble backgrounds these ladies are True embodiment of Women power and are well trained in the nuances of hospitality and are ready to train other rural ladies the art of guest handling .

    Our Project
    It is a project which aims to bring about socio economic growth of the region and its people through sustainable tourism ,setting of a Skill development centre for the local women and youth and reviving old dying art forms.The rural Hinterland, with its serene landscapes and historic structures, is not just a farm stay ; it is a living testament to the harmonious coexistence of history , culture and nature. We invite visitors to immerse themselves in the tranquillity of nature in rustic rural setting.

    Our location:-
    We are located on District Basti, Uttar Pradesh which is on the way to some famous tourist destination like Ayodhya (72km) , Varanasi (209km) , Gorakhpur (50km) ,India-Nepal Sunawali border (130 km) and many more. We are just 6km inside from the highway which connects all of above places.

    We are also in a learning phase of farming and various other things but what we believe is more we teach, more we learn.Since we are located in rural India, you can closely observe and live the life of local villagers. People here might not understand your language but smiling faces here are always ready to guide you through anything they can . We will be more than happy to teach you Hindi and talk about the culture and festivals here.
    You can also join cooking with Radhika, Dulhari and Janki, they are very good in local cuisines and quick learner if you teach them to cook your home dishes.
    Apart from these activities , you can also join local events and wedding in the village so that you can make friendship with the locals.

    Help

    Since we are in the begining of the project so we need more brains and helping hands full with energy and pro-activeness. Tasks related to Art and crafts, DIY projects, painting, mud works, building structures with natural materials, interior and exterior designing, Artitec, organic farming, internet , content creation, or whatever you find helpful at. We are happy to teach and learn.

    Excursions & Activities
    Ayodhya revered Birth Place of Lord Ram is 76 Kms / 1.5 Hrs of a comfortable drive.

    The final resting place of the 15th Century Sufi Mystic Saint – Kabir – Maghar ( Sant Kabir Nagar if just 19 Kms./ 30 Mins Drive.

    The holy Buddhist sites of Kushinagar ( 74 Kms /1.5 Hrs of Drive) and Lumbini (135 Kms /3 Hours Drive) are close by and well connected by Four Lane Highway .

    Ghaghra which flows nearby (22 Kms to the nearest river point) had the distinction of being one of the cleanest Indian rivers thus very rich in Bio – Diversity especially know to have high concentration of the Endangered Gangetic Dolphin /Fresh Water Dolphin , ‘Sus’
