Description
Hey everyone, I learned about workaway when I was traveling and enjoyed doing it at the time. I am 28 years old from east Windsor, CT. About 1.5 hours from Boston and 2 from New York City. I live alone. I’m looking for people to stay with me and help me doing projects around the house/farm.
Up until about June the projects won’t be anything that serious but around June the farming work starts to become full time so at that point I’d be willing to start paying if you would be interested in working. But that would be up to you. I don’t have any cool animals, just a chinchilla.
If someone wanted to teach me Spanish, that would be awesome as well.

You would benefit by living the farm life in the summer months. In the winter time, there is a lot less going on so it would be a lot more relaxed.
The way you benefit from staying with me is I will do my best to include you in my life and show you what america means to me. I live a fairly average lifestyle, but you can learn all about cigars and how connecticut is known world wide for having the best cigar wrappers.
I hope to learn about your culture, and just get to know people. Everything’s open and it can get really busy in the summer but most days I’ll be home by 6 or 7.Host offers payment in line with the minimum wage

I operate a tobacco farm for cigar wrapper production. The fields are within a 10 minute drive from my house.
Any work that you do will be paid for.
From late July-early September is usually when harvest is. I am looking especially for guys that are willing to work in the tobacco shed during this time. It’s hard work but rewarding and you aren’t in the sun.
Also, for less capable, there is work in the field and it is boring/tedious but you get a tan.
Message me with any questions! My house can accommodate up to 4 people rather comfortably. If you are the only guest, you’d have a bathroom for yourself.
