Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I am a busy freelance photographer. I occasionally attend music gigs, farmers markets and local events, which you could tag along to. I cook wholesome vegan food, and can teach you how. I can offer art lessons in most mediums, as well as tips on using Adobe software for those interested.

Help
Ideally I would like a garden enthusiast to help with simple DIY tasks, household chores and organic vegetable growing and harvesting.

I have been learning French for the last few years, so someone I can practice with would be helpful.
Accommodation
There is a caravan next to the house in the back garden that has new curtains, fresh paint and a comfy double bed, a table and seats. It's under a carport, so no leaks, but the top is not raised. Great if you are not too tall, or like to lounge around. There is a home cinema for watching streamed content, and unlimited fast WiFi. There is a large trampoline, and a reserve at the back of the garden, with many walks nearby around the peaceful historic town in the Adelaide Hills. Ideally, healthy vegan meals would be shared. This is a meat-free house for humans. I'm an artist, and although the house is organised and uniquely interesting, it's not sparse.
I often go to the new local gym & indoor swimming pool, and can help with lifts to and from there when I do.
What else ...
There are many tourist opportunities in the surrounding areas that are accessible by bus. The city of Adelaide is about 45 km away. The tourist town of Hahndorf is about 11kms away.

My animals / pets
Annie
Very decorative, free ranges in the garden with Fawkes. Neither of the hens lay eggs much anymore, and if they do I rarely find them. Annie will tolerate being patted while she's eating.
Fawkes
Closest thing to a pet dinosaur, Fawkes was hatched from an egg that endured two heatwaves during incubation. She just struts about the garden with her companion chook, and isn't fazed by anything. Not keen on being patted though.
Cindy (11 years)
Budgerigar has a cage but gets to fly around if the other animals are not in the same room. My sons wanted a budgie when they were younger, so now I'm left as her caretaker. Her companion was a rescue, but he has been gone some years now. She enjoys listening to the wild birds that frequent the garden, and chirps along to music. She's completely unfazed by the other animals.
Frodo (11 years)
Softest fur ever, and very attached to me. She can be nice to strangers too, depends on her mood. She doesn't like Duchess, but they generally tolerate each other to a point.
Duchess (12 years)
Age unknown as she has been a rescue cat a couple of times. Likes sitting next to people and receiving pats, and she gives high fives. She doesn't get along with Frodo.
Bodhi (9 years)
Bodhi is very chilled, and loves dogs. Very affectionate, but doesn't like being picked up. He's strictly an indoor cat, but he's come to terms with this. Loves his food.
Ginny (5 years)
Mini Fox Terrier with a bit of Jack Russel. Gentle and sweet, but very bouncy and will want to be your best friend. Doesn't cope being by herself as she was a covid puppy.
