Description
For 20 years we have been a unique place for intercultural experiences in the Czech Republic near the border to Germany, located in beautiful Bohemian landscape. The former farm is transformed to a space for art, inspiration, exchange and humanity. We organize cultural events such as art symposia, study trips, exhibitions, literary encounters, lectures and theatre and film performances.
The following text is a summary of what our place can be created by friends from the culture centre on a culture brunch:
It was a crazy idea. Now it is utopia in action. Many more people will be able to realize themselves. This is a place of encounter. It functions away from social constraints and hierarchies. It is giving and getting much more back – from the heart. It is celebrating and cleaning up together again. It is abstract until you were here for the first time. It is never finished. It exists only once. It is self-discovery, pure encounter, adventure playground for new ideas, lively community, joy and laughter, art and culture, lots of voluntary work, international encounters. It is living freedom and shaping society, finding friendships – lifelong, solidarity and helpfulness. Breaking rules, inventing new things, tackling them, celebrating exuberantly, finding a way out of lethargy. It is a source of inspiration for ideas, liberation and place of longing, pivo, laughter, tears… it has grown and continues to grow. It is also – sitting on a bench by the pond, looking at the water in the rain or sun, the dog laying at your feet, a train or lawnmower pass by every now and then – and then a lot of silence. It is home. It is an unspoken word that everyone understands. It is constantly on the move through people who feel connected to the place. It is love at first sight.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You have the opportunity to meet new, very different people and to have exciting exchanges with them. Depending on the period, you can accompany the stay of exciting groups or participate in projects yourself.
How this place lives, works and grows can only be experienced on the spot. In quiet times, you can also learn something of the craft of our smith. Besides all these possibilities, you will also learn many practical and everyday things. And certainly also a lot about yourself, because there are plenty of quiet corners and exciting works of art from the last 20 years. There is also room for own creativity and development. We welcome new ideas and suggestions.
The more you give to the centre, the more the centre will give you back.
Help
Lenka, the owner of the cultural centre is living in the old former farm and she is receiving help from one long-term volunteer from Germany every year. However, the farm is never finished and many helping hands are needed to keep the farm alive. Therefore, we are looking for open people and “allrounders”! Every day is different. One day we start with yoga and tea, then fetching wood, gardening, cleaning, tidying up, painting or crafts. The other day we welcome intercultural groups and make everyone feel at home. We also need practical support in the implementation of the various projects and invite you to participate and get involved with your own mind and creative sense.

Accommodation
You will sleep in one of our beautiful common bedrooms, we have bigger and more private ones. If you want, you can also sleep outside in the garden in summer. We like to cook and eat together very often. If you eat vegetarian or vegan, that is no problem. You can wash your clothes and feel comfortable.
In Řehlovice there is also a small shop with the most important things, a post office, a train station and a pub.
What else ...
In your free time you can reach many exciting places and beautiful cities very quickly, easily and inexpensively. The capital Prague, the industrial city Ústí nad Labem or the memorial Terezín. You can go hiking in the bohemian uplands or explore the Sandstone Mountains in Tísa.
