    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

At our home in the beautiful Drôme Provençale, we offer a unique cultural exchange thanks to our Dutch-French background. With my Dutch roots and Christophe’s French heritage, we create a cozy blend of two cultures. You can enjoy Dutch cosiness and directness combined with French charm and culinary traditions.

We love sharing our languages, customs, and cuisines: from Dutch stroopwafels to French croissants! Additionally, we offer an authentic insight into local life in southern France, including the language, traditions, and stunning landscapes. It’s the perfect opportunity to practice both your French and Dutch while enjoying a warm, international atmosphere. Connect with nature and our animals. If you are an experienced horserider you can go to ride together. If you dont have experience we can go for a walk in the mountains with horses and dogs all together. The foals will follow besides their mothers in total freedom.

Last minute oppurtunity:**"Right now, we’ve got a few DIY projects on the go. Handy with tools and looking for a unique experience? Feel free to drop by – and bring a handy friend along too!"**

We are a friendly couple living in a beautiful mountainous area where we share our passion for animals, nature, and simple living. We welcome helpers who want to immerse themselves in our way of life, learn new skills, and contribute to our daily routines in a relaxed and supportive environment.

We care for our horses and dogs, and we love to share our knowledge about animal care with those who are interested. Whether you’re experienced or just curious to learn, we’ll be happy to show you how to feed, groom, and interact with them. Occasionally, we have a foal around, which is always exciting!

Beyond animals, life here follows the rhythm of the seasons. You can join us in activities like harvesting vegetables, cutting wood, or even picking lavender. We enjoy sharing these traditional skills, and we are always happy to hear new ideas and learn from you as well.

We enjoy exchanging stories and skills with our helpers. While we sometimes need a hand with ongoing tasks, the most important thing for us is to create a welcoming and enriching cultural exchange. We encourage you to explore the area, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and feel at home during your stay.

If you appreciate nature, enjoy spending time with animals, and are looking for a peaceful environment where you can learn and share, we would love to meet you!

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

We have a beautiful accommodation located in the Drôme Provençale, surrounded by unspoiled nature and tranquility. From mid-May to mid-October, we run a **Chambre d'Hôtes**. The rest of the year, we prepare for the upcoming season and take time off for our own holidays.

We offer a charming and authentic stay/work experience, perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy the beauty of the southern French countryside.

The guest rooms are located in the main building and are comfortably and tastefully decorated, respecting the local style and tradition. Each guest room has its own private bathroom. There is also a large central living room for guests with a professional kitchen. We are cooking professionals who love to prepare delicious meals using as many local products as possible. We are passionate about showcasing the rich flavors of the Drôme Provençale. If guests or work-awayers enjoy cooking, they are welcome to join us in the kitchen and learn more about our culinary approach. We provide all necessary meals, ensuring a tasty and authentic dining experience.

Additionally, we have our own private studio on the property, allowing us to always be nearby for support and social interaction, while our work-awayers can still enjoy their own privacy and space.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

We live in the heart of nature, far away from the hustle and bustle of the world. Here, it's all about peace, space, and silence. Because of our remote location, having your own transport is essential. If you love tranquility and being surrounded by nature, you'll feel right at home. But if you're looking for crowds, noise, and city vibes, this might not be the place for you.

We run a Chambre d'hôtes as a couple during the season (mid-May to mid-October). During this time, we’re usually too busy to host Workawayers. However, depending on our bookings, there may be weeks without guests—when that happens, Workawayers are welcome to join us in our daily life or help with pure house-sitting.
We are mostly at home, but we also enjoy traveling too. Whenever we plan to be away, we will always inform you in advance.
The same applies from mid-October to mid-May, when our business is closed.

During your stay, you won’t be involved in any business-related activities. Your time here will be spent in nature ,with us, our animals, and possibly a few other Workawayers. For us, it’s all about teamwork, good vibes, and creating great memories. So pack your backpack, bring your enthusiasm, and let’s make this an unforgettable experience together!

    Can possibly accept pets

We have whippets, which are delicate dogs. If work-awayers wish to bring their own dog, this is only possible if their pet is calm, not too large, and gets along well with other dogs. Naturally, we cannot accept problem dogs that show destructive behavior or bark excessively. The well-being and harmony of all animals on our property are very important to us.
