    Description

UPDATE,PLEASE READ FIRST: as of April 2023, we will stop being a host for workaway until March 2024, due to production reduction, that is forced upon us due to a water crisis. We are positive that the next rainy season, 2024, will bring relieve and would than open our gates for workaway volunteers.

We are a hardworking, energetic, team, situated at the banks of the Omaruru Rivier, in the western Part of Namibia, specializing in the production and distribution of various vegetables and fruits. Our peak Season is from September till May, we all ways love to have a helping hand on our farm, that needs a multitude of different skill sets, to keep it running, ranging from mechanical, electrical, logistical, biological, administrative and culinary daily tasks.
We take pride in ourself, to have one of the biggest range in high quality vegetable, herb and fruit production in Namibia, on a relative small farming unit of 11 hectares.
Most part of our produce is cultivated under protection, might it be under shade cloth structures or in greenhouses. Our challenging climate, with blistering hot summers and a limited water supply, dictates us a resource conscious farming method, with water saving drip irrigation, coupled with modern irrigation technology.
We love to meet new people from all walks of life who enrich us with their experience and drive.
Unfortunately we do not accept people who are below 25 years of age and we can not accommodate people with a vegan lifestyle, our diet is Namibia has an emphasis on meat and other animal products, and a vegan lifestyle, as it is practiced in the Western World, is very expensive in Namibia.
