    Description

We are a couple offering a riverside and marine homestay close to Auckland CBD. Our waters edge garden setting offers a tranquil environment, stunning sunrises, overlooking an ever moving estuary and the convenience of pubic transport at the end of the road. We love to meet enthusiastic energetic people who will be interested in participating on chores around our large sailing yacht (built in 1899), catamaran or various other water craft. This job will either be on the mooring at the bottom of our garden or out boating around the beautiful islands of the Auckland Harbour and Hauraki Gulf depending on weather or circumstances. We work on the basis of 30 hours a week either spread over 5 to 7 days to suit the individual, for shorter stays than 1 week we work on a basis of 5 hours per day. In addition to this you are expected to cook the odd meal, help with dishes, etc as any other guests would do. Everyone helps themselves to breakfast and lunch, and we have a cooked meal together for dinner. We are currently building a new dwelling for volunteers. Accomodation is in our camper which has 2 doubles, and is clean and warm. Bathroom is in the house.
