    Description

Petra works as a psychologist in Austria and Dean in IT support. As we have lived most of our lives in Europe and have eventually settled in Ghana we are sensitive to the needs of volunteers who come from the west. Volunteers can expect a cordial welcome and help regarding the norms and culture in which they will be working. The Pebi School Principal Mr. Bismark Asempapah and his wife Peace are the main personnel or spokesperson for the school. They will also discuss the school rules with you.

Pebi School and Kindergarten is attended by 116 children from the ages of 2.5 to 13 years. Most of the children come from Pebi, Kuntu in the Mfantseman municipal in the central region of Ghana.

What we require is volunteers with a pedagogical education (kindergarten/elementary school up to 13 years) who would support and assist teachers and children. You should be sensitive, empathetic, patient and willing to support the children over a long period of time. A plus would also be volunteers with an affinity to music or musical instruments who can contribute their own ideas and creativity. You will thereby discover the beauty of Ghana at the weekend or during the vacations.

Our vision is to have a self-sustaining development and education in our communities.

    What you get:
At least 2 days off per week during the term.
Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Pick Up: We can pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property - extra costs!
    breakfast, lunch, dinner

    What's not included
Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Warm, welcoming, and boasting a long-standing stable political landscape, you won’t have to worry much about your safety when visiting Ghana. Because Ghana’s people are proud of their history and heritage, they safeguard the sanctity of their communities dearly, opening their borders to more and more ex-pats who now call Ghana their home today! With rolling hills of mountains, dense foliage of the tropical forests, waterfalls and caves in the Volta highlands, and uninterrupted coastlines to bask on, tourists can add hiking, canoeing adventures, and bird and wildlife viewing to an adventure-filled itinerary.
