Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Ghana is a country with a very rich culture wich you can experience best by working together with Ghanaians. That way you will learn the basics of the language, customs, rituals and foods.
Apart from the Ghanaian team there is a small international community in Kumasi which will help you get settled.
Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.

Help
We already have a strong team managing the day-to-day work of the NGO and Hostel. That’s why we’re mainly looking for volunteers who bring special skills or who are excited to take on a project from start to finish.
Please note: we do not allow volunteers to work directly with the children, to avoid attachment issues.
Here are some project ideas where you could really make an impact:
- Organize and structure the files on our laptops
- Create new videos and photos for our social media
- Develop fresh recipes for our lunch menu and Friday International Dinners
- Build a wood-fired pizza oven
- Start a vegetable garden
- Paint creative artwork on our outside walls
- Revive our fufu cooking workshop

You will get a bed in a 8-person mixed dorm in the hostel with free breakfast. We provide you with a lockerbox to yourself that can be locked with your own padlock.
If interested you can join the kitchen staff to learn all about the Ghanaian dishes or you can teach them one of your own favorites!
What else ...
Kumasi is a vibrant city rich in culture and history. There are nice day trips and weekend getaways in the surrounding areas, with even more travel opportunities to explore across the country.
