    Description

    Hello!

We are an international family living on a small private farm in the beautiful countryside of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.

Our home is surrounded by nature, gardens, fruit trees, chickens, dogs, and many different plants. We enjoy a quiet rural lifestyle and grow fruits, vegetables, and herbs organically for our own consumption. Living close to nature is very important to us, and we are always working on new projects around the farm and garden.

Life on a small farm is never boring, and there is always something to do. Depending on the season, help may include gardening, caring for plants, maintaining the property, small DIY projects, animal care, and other everyday farm activities. No special experience is required — curiosity, motivation, and a positive attitude are much more important.

We appreciate people who enjoy nature, are willing to learn new things, and like being part of daily life rather than simply passing through. For us, Workaway is about cultural exchange, sharing experiences, and creating meaningful connections with people from different backgrounds.

As an international family, we speak English, German, Dutch, and Russian. We love meeting people from different countries and believe that cultural exchange is one of the most valuable parts of the Workaway experience.

My husband is a professional gardener, so there are often interesting gardening and outdoor projects where volunteers can learn practical skills and gain hands-on experience.

If you enjoy fresh air, a peaceful environment, animals, and hands-on projects, we would be happy to welcome you to our home and share a little piece of rural German life with you.

We look forward to meeting you! 🌿🐓🐕🏡

  • Help

    Help

Most of the help on our farm is related to gardening and outdoor projects.

Depending on the season, tasks may include weeding, planting, watering, harvesting fruits and vegetables, pruning plants, maintaining garden beds, and helping us care for the property. There are also occasional small DIY projects around the farm.

My husband is a professional gardener, so volunteers who are interested in gardening can learn practical skills and gain hands-on experience while working together with us.

From time to time, there may also be light animal-related tasks, such as helping with the chickens or assisting with general farm routines.

We are looking for people who enjoy being outdoors, are not afraid of physical work, and appreciate a peaceful countryside lifestyle. No previous experience is necessary — a positive attitude and willingness to help are much more important.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

Workawayers stay in a separate guest house located on our property. The house can accommodate 4–6 people and offers a comfortable space to relax and enjoy some privacy while still being part of life on the farm.

Bed linen and towels are provided. Volunteers have access to a bathroom, kitchen facilities, and everything needed for a comfortable stay.

    How will food work?

    * Breakfast and lunch are always shared meals.
    * In the evening, we all sit down together and everyone prepares their own dinner from the wide variety of fresh food we always have at home.
    * We always provide plenty of fresh ingredients, so there is something for everyone.
