  • Description

We are a surf and chill hostel based on the Pacific coast of Guatemala... El Paredon beach.

The lodge is located in the only surf town in Guatemala, El Paredon, due to its surf consistency, waves all day every day; the perfect place to chill, surf, stand up paddleboard in the mangroves, practice yoga, explore the town, enjoy beach life and make new friends.

Being one of the few Guatemalan owned properties on the beach, our lodge attracts a diverse mix of both travelers and Guatemalans alike. We are implementing new ideas and trying to provide a fresh and unique experience in town. The idea is to create a fun, energetic atmosphere full of excitement and unforgettable memories, while simultaneously being in harmony with nature and the culture of Guatemala. To create this atmosphere, we are looking for open-minded volunteers who will be a constant positive and valuable contribution to our operational team.

We look forward to you joining our team.

We provide a unique opportunity to experience a positive and relaxed way of life through daily surfing, yoga, unique beaches, volleyball, and mangrove paddle board excursions, among countless other activities... or simply relax and enjoy beach life - lazy days in the hammock, cooking with friends, finally reading that book, sunsets on the beach, or enjoying beers with new friends.

  • Help

Help: Different tasks depending on your skills. We've been growing rapidly and have a lot going on at the moment. It could be opening and closing the reception; yoga instructor, painting, maintenance, dealing with reservations, general hostel and helper area beautification, promoting hostel activities, evening activities or any new creative ideas for the hostel.

Our ideal Workawayer is a self starter who proactively looks for things to do or ways to improve with no need for micro management. Those who have experience living with others and know how to respect communal areas and treat the space as if it were home. Optimists who prefer to look for the silver lining in all situations. Previous experience in f&b/service industry is highly preferable!
