Description
The land was purchased in 2023 to start the lifelong dream of living off-grid surrounded by nature. Since then the purpose has expanded to create a place and a non-for profit organisation that facilitates people in their creative endeavours. It will achieve this through live in stays where attendees will have access to studios and workshops as well as networks for mentoring and investment. We aim to grow much of the food and continue the bush regeneration of the property with help from those attending the program.
It is however early days and currently we are laying the ground work to make this a reality. There is an opportunity to learn many skills in areas from carpentry to food production. Current priorities include, building and equipping workshops, working in the vegetable gardens, planting trees and assisting with the ongoing bush regeneration. There is also the opportunity to pursue ones own creative endeavours using the established facilities.
The land is 60 acres 10 minutes from Mullumbimby. It has a river to swim in, mountains to climb and forests to explore. There are five permanent residence living in cabins and tiny houses and a strong, growing community centred around this project.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
This is the start of a big project and along journey. We are learning along with way through experimentation and help from others. Spending time here will provide the chance for us to learn, try things and inspire each other. The area of Wilsons Creek and surrounds is alive with interesting projects, great food, beautiful country and strong community. Despite still being quite basic I enjoy hosting and we have had many social gatherings at the property, making pizzas, drinking wine and enjoying good company.

Help
The help can roughly be categorised as environmental restoration, gardening/ growing food or establishing infrastructure.. Your skill set and interests would determine which project we tackle during your stay. In the environmental category tasks could include, clearing areas of lantana, weeding and planting trees. A large garden supplies us with a consistent supply of organic veggies. Tasks here include raising seedlings, watering, weeding and harvesting. In the building department we are currently fitting out a woodwork shop, a metal workshop and a recording studio. Jobs could be anything from carpentry to welding depending on your skill set and what you are eager to learn.

The caravan is equipped with a basic kitchen but access to the two other kitchens on the property is also permissable.

What else ...
We are looking for pationate people who find enjoyment in working hard and creating something where there was nothing. Familiarity with being outdoors, getting dirty and having an adventure is welcomed.
