[Please reply to host in Spanish]

We are Carola and Víctor, a couple of Graphic Designers from Santiago, who at the end of a long trip in a motorhome from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego (2013-2016), fell in love with the Aysén Region in Chilean Patagonia and decided to settle in Villa Cerro Castillo. This is where we decided to build a Camping specialized in "overlanders": motor homes, cyclists and motorcyclists, who are touring the country, the continent and the world.

We live 7 kms. from the Villa, in the middle of the Carretera Austral in a rural area that has a spectacular view of the Cordillera Castillo, the Ibáñez River Valley and Estero Parada. We have solar energy and a water well that works with a motor pump.

Our plot is 4 hectares of irregular land, with native forest of coihue, lenga and ñire, where many birds inhabit and can be seen, including the Magellanic carpenter, the condor, among others.

This season we'll need help preparing for the campsite's opening, then welcoming guests and keeping the place tidy.

They live with us our dog called "Guapo" a Shepherd of the Pyrenees who loves people, especially if they care for him and play with him and our cat Flora who is very regal and usually walks near the house.

We are lovers of nature and outdoor life. We like trekking, cooking and Victor loves to go fishing. We live 20 minutes by car from some stunning lakes, so bring your fishing gear!

    -----

We have a lot of contact with our gaucho neighbors and friends of the Villa who are always inviting us to typical activities such as designated, meat, roasts and community help activities that are very interesting to share.

We know the area quite well since we have traveled it in our mobile home and also by car. Victor knows very well the lakes near the house that are more than 15, and the rivers. There are many beautiful places near our house that we can show. We also know Chile from end to end, since on our trip we take 1 year to travel it calmly. Many people who travel want recommendations to travel the country and we believe we have a good knowledge to share.

There are many activities in this area such as trekking in the Cerro Castillo National Park, rock climbing, fishing and mountain biking. From our house there is a path that goes down to a lagoon, about 50 minutes round trip.
In the surroundings of the region you can visit the Marble Chapels, Puerto Bertrand and Baker River, General Carrera Lake, San Rafael Lagoon, Patagonia National Park, among other places. There are buses from Coyhaique to the different locations.
There is no public transport from the airport to Villa Cerro Castillo, so we could go find and leave. If they come from Coyhaique, there are buses in the mornings that go to Cochrane and could get off at Villa Cerro Castillo and from there we could pick them up, or get off at the door of our campsite located in the middle of the Carretera Austral.

    -----
