Description
We are a small, laid-back family living by the beach in Las Tunas, Ecuador. We love surfing, cooking, and outdoor sports. Our home is just a minute from the ocean.
We’re working on a homemade bagel project so if you enjoy cooking or baking, we need support with rolling, boiling, and baking. We also welcome anyone with skills in photography, social media, or creative storytelling to help us share our journey.
Beyond the kitchen, we’re looking for help getting us organized—documenting processes, creating systems, and offering fresh business consulting ideas. We’ve never started a business like this before, so we’ll take all the advice we can get! This will help us scale our delivery operation and bring us closer to our dream of opening a bagel shop.
If you’re passionate about food, creativity, and entrepreneurship and want to be part of something growing from the ground up we’d love to collaborate with you!
We homeschool our two kids (11 and 6), and they love meeting new people. If you enjoy teaching or have any skills in that area, would be great to have some help with facilitating homeschool!
You’ll be part of our daily family life, cooking, hanging out with us at the beach in a small Ecuadorian coastal town. We love meeting new people!Types of help and learning opportunities

Staying with us is a chance to experience daily life in a small Ecuadorian coastal town while being part of a laid-back family. You’ll get to practice both English and Spanish with us and the local community, meet our neighbors, and experience the relaxed beach lifestyle here.
We love sharing our own culture (a mix of Ecuadorian and American traditions) and would be excited to learn about yours too-especially through cooking, music, or any creative skills you’d like to share. .
If you’re interested in food, we can teach you how to make bagels and other homemade recipes, and we’d love to learn any of your favorite dishes as well.Help
We’d love to welcome someone who enjoys being part of family life and is happy to help out with a mix of fun and creative tasks.
Some of the things you might help with include:
Cooking & Baking – joining us to make bagels or help us create new products
Cooking Family Meals – if you’re a good cook and enjoy cooking, join the family meal rotation! We love to eat well and healthy, and with so much going on, we’d appreciate the help.
Business & Organization – consulting on entrepreneurship, scaling ideas, and generally getting us more organized. We so badly need this!
Creative Projects & Social Media – taking photos, sharing ideas, or helping us document our projects.
Homeschool Help – spending time with our kids doing crafts, music, or helping with their homeschooling.
House Maintenance & Cleaning – helping us keep the house tidy, organized, and running smoothly.
Pet Care – giving our pets a little extra love and care when needed.
We’re flexible—if you have special skills or interests, we’d love to learn from you! The most important thing is that you don’t mind pitching in where needed.Languages

You’ll have a private room with your own bathroom, so you’ll have your own space to relax. Our house is just a 1‑minute walk to the beach.
We have mountain bikes you can use to explore nearby towns and trails, and if you’ve ever wanted to try surfing, we have a couple of soft-top surfboards you’re welcome to borrow. We are right in front of a great beach break and there are other breaks in the area a car ride away. There is a skate park in a short walk away with a little cafe where locals like to hang out.
We have some shared meals and also provide space available to prepare your own meals as well. Of course, you’ll get to eat plenty of homemade bagels!A little more information

Yes! We both work online ourselves, so we understand how important a good work setup is. We have reliable WiFi, and you’ll have your own private room with space to work if you need quiet time. The help we ask for is flexible and can be scheduled around your remote work—usually just a few hours a day, and we can plan together to make sure it fits your routine. Many Workawayers spend mornings helping us and keep afternoons free for surfing, exploring, or focusing on their own projects. It’s a relaxed environment, so as long as we communicate, we’re happy to make it work around your digital nomad lifestyle.
