    Description

We like to give good feedbacks if you deserve it

We normally eat everything. We have NO paid job this year (please note).

Actuality : We are currently working underground, cool 15°C, no overheating. Are you interested @ making underground galeries ? underground to grow mushroom, keep food in cool place, keep safe from Putin's nuclear ? Then you are in the right place. we are currently digging The well (with mechanic help), and will soon begin the gallery.

Actuality : we don't grow vegetables this year (busy @ digging)

We have a donkey that needs education, we would like having someone for helping us at this task.

We are not involved in hard survivalism (physical training etc) but we are somehow involved in soft survivalism, based on resilience and self sufficiency ability. If you are interested into survivalim, you would probably found some interesting elements at us. Also if you wish to train, our property is probably a good place.

We may allow to dig a small something like that : keywords : TOMB SURVIVAL SHELTER
    cyprien outdoor adventures

We live in an old farmhouse from the 18th century in Lot et Garonne, Aquitaine, south west of France. A rural area of "pays de serres" hills and valleys, beautiful tourist area in the summer.
The area have many old buildings and interesting castles to visit. And the ancient walled city named "Bastides".
Not far from us the Chateau de Bonaguil

Our farm is an area of wild and wooded, hidden and saved from the surrounding world.

It's like a real autonomous island, a small world apart, with a tranquil setting.

We live at the solar time, almost TU time (Greenwich). Our 200 years old bell do rhythm the food time, so it's the immemorial and sun time. Although legally, Hitler did order it's end since WWII in 1940. But we don't obey him here.

Our uniqueness is that we live in energy independence and autonomy of water, but without sacrificing comfort.

We have managed to develop the best technical solutions to achieve this, as well as lower cost, even if it is not completely finished.

We are found of the durable technology from the past, some collectables are very long lasting technology and more interesting at an autonomous point of view, are in use at our place. We are fighing against planned obsolescence. See at bottom page technologies your can discover at work here.

We can gladly introduce you to our facilities, explain the ways of doing and you can see the results as well as the equipment used.

Our region is a touristic area in spring/summer/autumn & well suited to cycling tours, we can lend a bike.
Near village : 2km (small supermarket) by feet or bike, flat
Interesting ancient village with history : 3Km by feet or bike, 200 m higher
Near city, bastide with historic center : 13Km, by bike, flat
Middle age castle to visit : 22Km real push on pedals needed/bus challenge

But as we are in a little paradise place, it's soo good to stay here, we find now workawayers don't go wish much to go out !

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

We have a little caravan in nice woody environment with 1 big bed, and another bigger caravan in another woody environment with 1 small bed + 1 big bed. each caravan have light and 230V electric plug.
It gives a certain freedom to you, as if you were in a camping .
Both are 20 meters from our house, where the dinner takes place.

We provide excellent Indian food typical little spicy.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

    Dietary/Veg etc :
Indian food doesn't mean not eat meat. My wife does continue the same diet than her ancestors, it is the use. We do eat chicken, eggs, milk, etc. Just we don't eat pork or cook it, whereas beef we eat rarely because of her ancestors.
Also Indians says it's not a good idea to change one's diet just by will. People in india who don't eat meat do it from thousand of years and have genetic capacity to stand that. Indians don't advise to change your diet if your ancestors were eating meat, one could suffer malnutrition.

If you are veg we don't refuse you, but you may have real problems to find something for you everyday, Unless you made a provision / bring your special ingredients you would cook yourself. Here we have indian chick peas, pharatha press, chick peas maïze flour, and other things but non specific veg.

What caracterize our Workaway host place :

Survivalist soft : no survival training, but very self-sustainable oriented

Organic garden & reseedable plants : health & food safety. But we are not totally self sustainable on food : you'll have food from the supermarket too.

Mother nature's daylight time : here, with Molen island are the only 2 places you can experience living at real time in France.

Indian & oriental food (not everyday)

"Camp" in caravan among the forest

Experience drinking pure water (if you want)

Drug free place could help you. No alcool, no Tobacco, no coffee (the next health scandal to come), and no any other drugs/phychedelics. But we have tea.

    Volunteering time at our place
Here most of the time, we are not really working. We could be considered as "always having holiday" or "having never an holiday".
The time schedule 5hours a day does refer as comparative to an amount of hard work provided by a paid helper in a company, in the normal life. But we are not normal life, we are selfsustainable. We are mostly living by ourselves.

Think about that : here we have foxes, so let's take them as an example :
-does a fox have to think about his working schedule during the day ?
Ex: 9 to 10 look for food, then 12 eat, then having a rest from 14 to 16 ?

It's certainly not like that. When fox wakes up, he can have an idea about looking in a specific place to make a new hole, and maybe in the path he will have a idea about looking for hunting a little.

But on the topic "how long is he's working time" really can't tell, he just lives ! Maybe 100/100 as 24/24 work or you could also consider he's in holidays 24/24 7/7 !!!

Well here we live like that !
We always try to find thing to do that you like to do. We want you to have a good experience and learn things. We would never oblige you to do something, you are not a worker here...
