  Description

  I just got that amazing and peaceful place nearby Bajamar, and there is a lot to do to make it even better. I want to develop an ecologic way of life here, so it’s not done but it’s a direction. I’m just starting for now so I’m learning too, and I’m alone but I would be happy to welcome 2 or 3 people at the same time to have a little community ambiance.
  There’s about 50/60 banana trees and a garden with other fruit trees and I’m starting to grow vegetables. I have 6 chickens and 3 cats. I speak french (because I’m french), English, Spanish and Portuguese, but I prefer to speak Spanish, when it’s possible, since we are in Spain.
  
  This place is great for the people who love peacefulness and nature: there is a sea and sunset view point at 100m (but no direct access to the sea because there’s a big cliff) , it’s quite close to anaga (natural park), many hikes in the mountain , Bajamar and la punta natural swimming pools, the city of la Laguna (Unesco world Heritage Site).
  There’s also a lot of activities and parties in the towns around, all year long but especially in the summer , a lot of different kind of events (music, culture, spiritual) . The first town (Bajamar) is at 10 minutes with the bus, and there’s a bus stop at 600m . Unlike the south of the island that is very touristic, the atmosphere is Canarian.
  
  I would be happy to give you some information about those places and hikes and to help you practicing the language you would like to improve , and share anything that I know and might pique your interest, also drive you to go to share some events sometimes.
  
  My project is ecological and it is important to me that ecology and sustainable lifestyles are also important to you.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  I can inform you about the nice things to do around and maybe share some with you, practice the language you want, share dinners , talks and ideas..
  I’ve been travelling a lot before and now I would like to travel by meeting foreign people who travel..

  Help

  You can help me with different things but mainly with taking care of plants, trees and vegetables (that we will enjoy together because I like to cook!), taking care of the chickens and cats when I’m away (not very often), help me to carry things and do odd jobs to rearrange the place, maybe some painting… be aware that some tasks can be physically difficult, especially in the garden.
  I’ll ask for 4,5 h a day , 5 days a week, and 10 to 15 minutes more of your time on working days for the some tasks like cleaning of the common areas or helping for community life that I will determine.

  Accommodation

  For accommodation there’s tents that are under a roof: there’s one big tent where you can stand that is good for 1 or 2 people (couple), and the other are small individual tents. I will tell you which one is free when you contact me.
  
  For the food I like to cook sometimes, quite often, but not all of the time so when it’s not the case I’ll provide you things to cook. I’m not vegetarian but I don’t eat a lot of meat so that’s ok for me to cook vegetarian or vegan meals and learn more about it.

  What else ...

  What I really like about this part of the island is that you really feel your in canarias island because there’s more Canarians than foreigners, (not like in the south), and you can enjoy the amazing natural surroundings without being isolated, because there’s also a lot of cultural events and interesting things happening here…
