  Hi! I’m Onur, a film director from Turkey. I have been working in film and television for many years and I love cinema, travelling, meeting people from different cultures and sharing experiences.
  
  I have a home in the city centre, and I would be happy to host travellers from different parts of the world. I’m also currently improving my English, so I would love to meet people who want to share everyday life, have conversations and learn from each other.
  
  I’m easygoing, respectful and open-minded. I can also share my experience in cinema and filmmaking, and I’d be happy to learn about your culture, country and experiences.

  My home is in a very central area of Kadıköy, Istanbul, which is a great advantage for anyone who wants to explore the city. There are many cultural and social opportunities nearby, including cinemas, theatres, music venues, cafés, restaurants and many interesting places to discover. Public transportation is also very convenient, so it is easy to explore different parts of Istanbul.

  Help

  What I’m mainly looking for is someone who can help me improve my English. I would like to have regular daily conversations in English, so I can practice my speaking and listening.
  
  I would also need some help with cleaning, basic household chores, preparing and cooking meals, and assisting me with personal tasks on my computer or phone from time to time.
  
  In return, you will have a comfortable place to stay in my home and we can share everyday life, conversations, cultures and experiences.

  One of the main reasons I joined Workaway is to improve my English. My English is still not very good, especially my speaking and listening. So, I’m looking for someone who has a decent level of English and would like to have regular conversations with me. Please be patient when we talk because sometimes I need a little more time to understand and answer. 😊 I really want to practice every day and become more comfortable speaking English. In return, I can share my culture, my experience as a film director, and my life in Istanbul. I hope we can help each other, have good conversations and enjoy our time together.

  Accommodation

  You will have your own private room in my home. The kitchen, living room and bathroom will be shared areas.
  
  On some days, I may also prepare meals and provide food. 😊
  
  I can be flexible and adapt to our mutual needs. Depending on the work schedule, I may be able to provide meals, but we need to discuss this together. I will try to help as much as I can.

  What else ...

  You will have your own private room in my home. There will be a sofa bed and a wardrobe in your room. Bed sheets, towels and other basic items will be provided by me.
  
  The kitchen, living room and bathroom will be shared areas, and there are many kitchen utensils and basic things you can use.
  
  On some days, I may also prepare food for you. 😊
  
  During your free days, you can enjoy staying in a very central part of Kadıköy and easily explore Istanbul, with many cafés, restaurants, cinemas, theatres, music venues and other places nearby.
