Description
My cottage-in-the-countryside is right in the centre of the Netherlands, not far from the Nederrijn. I stay there a lot during the summer months. There is always lots of work to be done: mainly gardening, weeding, cleaning, to much for one elderly woman (=myself) to do. The cottage (mobile home/chalet)!has a separate bedroom outside for an active work awayer or two, who want/s to come and help for a week or two. There is a swimming pool on the terrain and I have 2 spare bikes.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I speak Dutch, English, French and German, and understand a bit of Spanish and Portugese. I can help you practice any of those languages.

Help
The work I want to share is cleaning the outside of the house (wood), weeding the garden, trimming trees and shrubs, a bit of painting inside, and maybe help replace an old shed. The area around is very beautiful for rides and walk and there are villages and small towns not too far away.

Accommodation
I offer a tiny bedroom with a very comfortable bed and bedding next to the 'main' house. Sharing of kitchen/cooking, living and bathroom. Swimming pool 3 mins walk and washing machines as well.
My permanent place is in Amsterdam. I offer a few days stay in Amsterdam as well.
What else ...
The place is very quiet, on a camping site with 50 summer cottages and seasonal caravans. The village itself ( Ingen) is extremely quiet, no shops or entrainment. There is a bus going to nearby towns where there are cinemas, cafes, restaurants etc. If you wish to come visit Amsterdam after your workaway, you can stay for a few days at my place in Amsterdam.
