Hello everyone and welcome.
My name is Oscar. After several years living and working in Europe, I have decided to return to Colombia, to my hometown, and to the farm where I was born and lived until my youth. I am returning with the goal, which is truly a dream, of continuing the mission of my parents, who are no longer with us. With great effort and enthusiasm, they bought the land where I now intend to carry out several productive projects.
On the farm, we have a small coffee plantation, and my intention is to grow other agricultural products for family consumption, such as vegetables and fruits, and also to have some animals. The farm is located in the municipality of Marquetalia, in the eastern part of the department of Caldas. It is a town nestled among the mountains, with wonderful views. The people of our town are very hospitable. It will be easy to meet new people, and in no time, you will become part of our community.
We work in a family atmosphere.
Our team is made up of members of my family (my brother, my sister-in-law and my nephews), we also receive help from some neighbors who work with us as paid workers and help us depending on the need for manpower we have.

Mi nombre es Oscar, después de varios años viviendo y trabajando en Europa he decidido volver a Colombia, volver a mi pueblo y volver a la Finca en donde Nací y viví hasta mi juventud.
Regreso con el objetivo que es en realidad un sueño de continuar con la misión de mis padres que ya no están pero con mucho esfuerzo e ilusión compraron la tierra en donde hoy pretendo llevar a cabo algunos proyectos productivos.
En la Finca tenemos una pequeña plantación de café, y mi intención es cultivar otros productos agrícolas para el consumo familiar, verduras, frutas y además tener algunos animales.
La finca está ubicada en el municipio de Marquetalia en el oriente del departamento de Caldas, es un pueblo entre montañas y las vistas son maravillosas, la gente de nuestro pueblo es muy hospitalaria, será sencillo conocer personas y en poco tiempo serás como uno más de nuestro pueblo.
Trabajamos en un ambiente familiar.
Nuestro equipo de trabajo está compuesto por miembros de mi familia (mi hermano, mi cuñada y mis sobrinos), también recibimos ayuda de algunos vecinos que trabajan con nosotros en calidad de trabajadores con salario y nos ayudan dependiendo de la necesidad de mano de obra que tengamos.

Tenemos muy buenas relaciones con la comunidad y podrás contactar a través de nosotros con otras familias y vivir una experiencia auténtica con las comunidades campesinas.
Por último si tienes tiempo disponible podríamos organizar proyectos que que generen un impacto positivo en la comunidad, enseñanza de idiomas u otras habilidades.

We are looking for people who love the simple life and enjoy the countryside, people who want to help with farm tasks (planting, harvesting), construction tasks, and who are also interested in being part of a community teaching project.
Buscamos personas que amen la vida sencilla y que disfruten del campo, personas que quieran ayudar en las tareas de la finca (Plantación, cosecha ), tareas de construcción y también que estén interesadas en hacer parte de un proyecto comunitario de enseñanza.

Accommodation
We offer a private room with a shared bathroom. The house is old, and although the climate here is very pleasant because it's not too cold or too hot, you may miss the comfort.
We don't have hot water in the house.
We offer two meals a day, lunch and dinner, and provide our volunteers with a kitchen with some basic utensils where they can prepare their breakfast. On some occasions, we can provide some ingredients from the farm itself, such as eggs, fruits, vegetables, and coffee, free of charge.
Ofrecemos para dormir una habitación privada con el baño compartido, la casa es vieja y aunque aquí el clima es muy agradable porque no hace frío no calor en exceso puede ser que eches de menos el confort.
No disponemos de agua caliente en la casa.
Ofrecemos dos comidas por día, almuerzo y cena y proporcionamos a nuestros voluntarios una cocina con algunos utensilios básicos en donde pueden preparar su desayuno, en algunas ocasiones podemos proporcionar gratuitamente algunos ingredientes provenientes de la misma finca como huevos, frutas, verduras y café.
