We are a very happy Anglo-French family, Claire 36, Jean-Christophe 38, Jean-Luc 5, twins Amelie & Sydney nearly 3 & the ever faithful Labrador Genie 10. We moved to France 3 years ago to experience a more peaceful, spacious and naturally enriching way of life. There have been many ups & downs, but we are finally settling into our family home that we have been renovating for some time. My husband works regularly in the UK & my children are at school & crèche locally. We have renovated many properties & built a new home in the UK before leaving for France. My husband is a skilled builder & project manager. I was previously a textile designer before children & a British Wheel qualified Yoga teacher post children.
Our house is nearly finished but we have a big project on our hands in the garden. It is all to do, I am excited about planning out the space, preparing the soil, constructing our huge eBay greenhouse we are dismantling at the moment in England, ready to bring over & erect in the garden. We want to plant trees, shrubs, edible borders, veggies, herbs, flowers for cutting & wild flowers for preserving and we would appreciate any help we can get.
We live in a beautiful plus beaux village in rural France, with a ruined castle & river running through it. A wonderful place to visit & work outside with your hands.

French & English
Large double ensuite bedroom within our family home. It's a spacious house over 4 floors with room to be with us or more privacy. Can pitch a tent or caravan if preferred.
Angles sur l'Anglin is a stunning medieval village, very well known in this region, the Poitou Charente. It has the plus beaux villages status meaning one of 154 France's most recognised beautiful villages. There are 3 restaurants, 2 creperies, 4 cafe's, a boulangerie, tabac, pharmacy & tourist office. It is a place attracted to by artists, photographers, historians and lovers of nature.
It is a rural farming area generally, with many places to visit & enjoy. There are many rivers & lakes for swimming, canoeing & fishing. Cycle paths, rock climbing, caves, within a conservation valley of great importance pre-historically. We are close to the wine producing regions of the Loire, Touraine, Saumur & Chinon. There are chateau's such as Villandry, Chenenceau, Azay le Rideau, ancient churches, Abbey's and of course restaurants galore.
Workawayers can enjoy this beautiful part of France whilst helping a young family set out their garden and outdoor living space. They will enjoy hospitality, fresh, locally sourced home cooked food, good wine & be made to feel welcome. They will be immersed in French/English culture and meet local people of different nationalities.
