Description
Hi! We are an English/Spanish couple, with a great passion for living sustainably.
After almost 20 years living in cities, we found in this island a fantastic land regenerating project and we cannot wait to share it with you.
We recently finished our home so we can live in, and will soon embark into the outdoor project.
Starting small this fall (with planting some essential trees, garden gravelling, fencing and stone paths) to then later on (winter/spring) expanding the project to create a permaculture Mediterranean forest, harvesting water from rain and recycling wastage.
Our hope is that one day we could bring back the indigenous Mediterranean forest that once inhabited this place, and us witnessing its beauty with the lowest footprint possible.
We have been trying to learn from various sources (meaning, YouTube :) and the more we get to know about sustainable living in the countryside the more we realised we need the help of people like you to give us a hand!
We believe our home would be a great base camp for people that want to explore the island, so thought this exchange would be great for both sides

We would love to give you some tips for things to do around the island, so you explore it like a traveller while having fun. We offer accommodation in a country house in Mallorca, including breakfast and the ocasional paella my partner makes on Sundays (if you stick around that day). We welcome couples, or women travelling on their own or with a friend. You will be able to practice your Spanish/English with us if you wish.
Help
For this late spring, we are looking for a couple of partners/Friends that would like to spend 2-3 hours a day for a week or two (as we have family coming regularly, we would need to free up the rooms often), helping us with the following tasks:
- Cutting wood and place it in a structure for winter
- Placing stones to delimit the gravel path
- Planting Trees and Bushes
- Installing a wire a fence
- DIY: We need someone with the skill to make a partition in a room (4 meter high, 7 meters long approx) with plasterboard or any other material (Wood etc.)

Accommodation
2 double bedrooms with a double bed each. These bedrooms have 1 bathroom to share among them. We also offer Spanish breakfast, respecting your dietary restrictions

What else ...
We are 15 mins away from the southern Es Trenc beach, and other coves, as well as lovely eastern hiking paths (sometimes culminating in restaurants with lovely views) and bicycle routes (in the nearby town you will be able to rent a bike of any kind per day or week). There are also plenty of “bodegas” where you can have a wine tasting experience, manor home museums, can introduce you to a lovely diver instructor or do a sailing course (adults and children) in the nearby sailing club. The accommodation is located in the countryside and therefore a vehicule would be recommended to move around. If you decide to come with yours, there are direct ferries from Toulon (South France), Barcelona and Denia (mainland Spain).
