    Description

Hello I’m Dave. I live on a 130 acre farm 10 km from Haines Junction Yukon. I started clearing and working on my farm about 12 years ago and built a cabin and shop about 9 years ago when I moved onto the property.
I grow hay and oats, which I feed too my horses and sell the extra.
I’ve also raised pigs for 10 plus years upwards to 15 a year but will be taking a year off from that.
I train my colts too drive, ride and pack for my trips into the mountains, of which I do many trips each year.
In my daily life I’m a self employed carpenter, building energy efficient houses in the Haines Junction area.
I’m very connected to the farm I call home and the area I live and explore in. I try too live with a small footprint and love the beautiful country I live in.
I enjoy many outdoor activities skiing, biking, hiking, canoeing, riding the horses. It keeps me grounded and connected.

I live on the edge of the beautiful Kluane national park area. There are many opportunities to explore the area on the trails and waterways.
There are also many opportunities to experience the local First Nations culture and activities.
This is a very beautiful area of the Yukon with unlimited opportunities to explore.

    Accommodation

I have a very comfortable cabin that’s about 10 years old. It’s got a solar system setup for power.
It’s what we call a dry cabin because there is no running water. I’ve got a sauna, where I sauna and bathe in and a outhouse.
