    Description

    Hey,
The project is located in the beautiful Blackforest in the south of Germany. It is close to the city of Freiburg and lakes like Titisee and Schluchsee aswell as the Feldberg area are close by.

    About the project:
We are a newly founded house project with an old train station building and a large property.
The house needs some renovation and our ambition is to reuse and recycle as much material as possible. There are not just tasks which need special expertise. We are happy about every helping hand, but we're doing this experience above all for the cultural exchange.

    About us:
We are currently 10 people, three dogs and two cats. Our ages goes from 19 to 32. If we are not studying and/or working in our part time jobs, we like to spend the time in the house and live our beautifully-chaotic life between modern daily society and the dream we are living in the posthalde. We don’t accept sexism, racism, ableism or any other form of discrimination and want to make the place as safe as possible for everyone.

    About accomodation, food and transport:
There is space in the house as well as on the property to put up tents.
Most of the time we cook together. Mostly vegetarian, but also dumpster dived meat from time to time. We try to dumpster dive as much as we can. Our place is still in the building process which means that a lot of it is still provisional and not super luxurious.
The place is not accessible by public transport, but we have a shared car which drives to the next train station in 10 minutes.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We love to share skills and wild discussions about all topics, especially politics. Some of us are very skilled in building/repairing things and like to explain and teach their knowledge to others. Also we are creative in finding solutions like repairing a broken car, building a shed or do creative work with wood. We have a lot of tools in our tool shop and also a lot of wood to play with.
What we offer to share with visitors is not only skills of working though. We try to live as sustainable as possible. In order to improve and evolve this, we want to connect to other people to share ideas, dreams and a way of taking on the future.

If you are interested in historic buildings, our place can be very interesting for you! It was build 1890 and used as a trainstation until 1960. We are thinking about how to have this historic part of the house always on track, maybe start a little museum in one room? Or maybe integrate a museum corner in all shared rooms? As you see, we are still in the beginning and would love to have a historic fan to accompany us!

  • Help

    Help

Most of the times we are working on renovation in and around the house. It would be great to have help in things like building walls, insolation, chopping wood, carrying big heavy loads of anything from a to b and back because we need the space and things like that. You will find some very fun and helpful tasks :)
We also have a small garden.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

We have a lot of space to put tents up around the house and there are some rooms where we could put in a mattrass or a bed. Unfortunately there is no complete private room. If you have concerns about the accommodation, don’t hesitate to tell us and we’ll answer all your questions!

Most of the time we cook together. Mostly vegetarian, but also dumpster dived meat from time to time. We are happy about guests that love to cook with us

    What else ...

We are located in the heart of the black forest. The Ravenna Schlucht is accessible by foot in about 20 minutes. Also various Rocks and waterfalls can be reached in the span of an hour. Like the Posthalden Felsen, the Piket Felsen, the Noppel Felsen and the Alpersbacher Wasserfälle. The Feldberg, the highest peak of the black forest is in the reach of 12 km to go by foot or mountain bike. Also with the car it is only about a 20 minute drive to shorten the way up.
There are lakes like the Titisee and the Schluchsee and also when looking down through the valley, you can reach the Rhine river, the border of France and various other lakes in about an hour by train and car.
The place itsself is not accessible by public transport, but we have a shared car which drives to the next train station in 10 minutes, or shared bikes, 20 minutes to the train station.
