For my first Workaway trip, this was a very nice experience. I stayed with Cleo and Calle and their son Theodor for 5 weeks, and I had plenty of time to travel around the area. I visited Oslo and Drammen, saw 'the End of the World', and they even invited me to their cabin in the mountains for a weekend. The lakes and mountain views were stunning,
… read more and I enjoyed kayaking with Theodor in one of the lakes. Each morning, I biked Theodor to school, and afterwards I had time for myself. I would help with Theodor in the afternoons after school. My main focus was doing various activities with him such as swimming, biking, gaming, and jumping on the trampoline. I also enjoyed cycling to the beaches and lakes and walking in the woods in the area in my free time. He is an active and curious kid who likes to play, and while he can be a bit challenging at times, this wasn't an issue for me. I learned some Norwegian along the way, which I used to communicate with Theodor and he learned some English from me. Cleo and Calle were very friendly, hospitable, and easy to talk to, and they were very flexible, giving me plenty of time to travel and explore the surrounding areas. Their home is located close to the cosy city of Tønsberg, and right next to a beautiful forest. The rooms upstairs are big, with a large bed, your own bathroom and a desk with a view over Tønsberg. The dinners were delicious and the kitchen is available for you to use.Feedback
