  We are a family of seven, consisting of Jim and Magdalena and our five children, ranging in age from two to sixteen years old.
  
  We are a ranching family based in Lac La Biche, Alberta, where we operate a cow-calf operation alongside training and raising performance horses. Our lifestyle is centered around agriculture, horsemanship, and family, and we take great pride in the work we do and the values we uphold.

  Workawayers will have the opportunity to be part of our daily family life on the ranch, including shared meals, outdoor activities, and time spent working together with the animals. We are actively involved in our local ranching community and regularly attend rodeos, where our children compete at a high level. These events are a great way to meet other families and experience the Western lifestyle firsthand. Depending on the season, there may also be local gatherings, brandings, and community events that Workawayers are welcome to join.
  We can offer hands-on experience in ranching, including working with cows and calves, basic livestock care, and daily horse handling. For those interested in horsemanship, there is the opportunity to learn about training and caring for performance horses. Workawayers can also gain insight into the day-to-day operations of a cow-calf ranch, as well as the discipline and responsibility that come with this lifestyle. In addition, they will experience family life in a busy, hardworking household and learn practical skills related to childcare and rural living.
  By hosting Workawayers from different cultures, we hope to broaden our family’s perspective and give our children the opportunity to learn about different ways of life, traditions, and viewpoints. We value cultural exchange and are excited to hear new ideas, share stories, and build meaningful connections. It’s important to us that this experience is mutually enriching, where both we and our guests learn from each other and create lasting memories.

  Help

  We are currently seeking help within our family that would include caring for our two youngest boys, who are two and five years old. This would involve regular babysitting and ensuring their daily needs are met in a safe and nurturing environment.
  
  In addition, we would appreciate occasional assistance with our 10-year-old daughter’s homework, as she is in grade five and may benefit from some extra support.
  
  We are also looking for help around the household with light duties, as well as assistance on the ranch. Ranch responsibilities would include working with our cows and calves, along with helping with daily chores involving our horses.
  
  We are a hardworking family and take great pride in the health and well-being of our animals. We would love the opportunity to share the Western lifestyle and provide insight into life within a ranching community.
  
  We also attend many rodeos, as our children compete at a high level. Assistance with traveling to and attending these rodeos would be greatly appreciated.
  
  We are looking for someone who is reliable, caring, and willing to become part of our family-oriented ranch lifestyle.
